It was meant to be!
Maybe...
Cracking on with building the top deck. Used a gundam part, p38 wing and a optimusprime shield. The drop tanks ( they are from a plane so I'm not sure what they are) are obviously the from censor bank.
With the fuel tanks out back that will leave just a few greebles to add.

A working title until some more interesting come up, two things promoted this one, I was given a train kit that was missing parts and I found an mtb mud guard on a dog walk, so I sat at the desk and these parts look almost made to fit, not glued down yet. This will make the underside of the ship.

Old Yorick got some upgrades in the remake of Hamlet in 2453.
This started as a plastic skull from B&M.

Very very nice work, looks fantastic. Have a look at an aliexpress load of 3d resin prints on there, you might find what you're looking for.

Like the shading on the skull, and the yellow panels on the jaw and top
Cheers.
I have found the broken wire, so as I had the spine dismantle,I remade it.
Still need dill a few holes in the base and I will need to repaint a few parts bit I think I like it more. You can see I have painted in the teeth, they where chrome but I didn't like it so repaint with GW paint and a nice dirty wash, still have a few small parts to finish on the skull.

Plastic try being used as the base now, look a bit better than the ruff wood and have some stickers to fit to it so it now so dull. Unfortunately I have broken the wire going up through the spine part so I'm currently taking that apart to find and fix the broken wire.
And if you have seen @madtatt falcon build and a look at his work bech, mine is the other end of the scale....😀

Cheers all for the interest, old Bob seems to have a name and a bit more painting, still a bit to do. Not sure about the colour of the metal plates, I'm thinking rusty yellow? The other eye is installed and wired together with a green flashing LED and after I made the two front fangs, I thought he looked a bit more horror, so added some organic tentacles creeping out of the holes made by the cyborg implants.
Bob is now a cyborg vampire-alien hybrid....
I still need to find him a proper base, might have to take a trip to home bargains and see what plastic tubs they have.

Bit of light fitting done tonight. Glued in the left eye and the 3 other lights. All looks a bit washed out in the photos but happy with these, the blue is a flashing LED.
And this one is going to need more filler, the central hole will have wire/spring coming out of it.

So Keighley show is now out of the way I can get back to this, I have sprayed the inside with a nice thick coat of primer then black, and based the outside of the skull with spray cans, grey primer, black then some white. Before I start on the paint it's time to get serious out the lighting.
First eye terminator style....

Nice tattoos. Have you thought of adding a barcode? Shiny chrome or carbon fibre teeth?
Cheers, oooh barcode is a great call. Chrome teeth.
Thanks Brian

Looks really cool. It reminds me of how I imagined the "Bones" in Alastair Reynolds novel Revenger.
I have read a few Reynolds books but not that one, any good? I'm due a good sci-fi opera after all the fantasy stuff I have been through. Just finished the Twinborn Chronicles by Morin ( not great) and the 5th book in the Malazan epic, these really test the reader.

Excellent idea and very different indeed.
Cheers Pete.
I had thought about a bullet hole or a plaster or a bit of bandage, but I think I'm going with the tattoo bone idea at the moment.
