IThanks guys.
So i wanted to make a sort of generic base for my sci fi builds and using one of those cheep photo frames i came up with this.
Primer and some black lines and masked off some road lines and started some shading.
Continued shading.
Sparyed some base colours.

So this is the start of my WIP for the 1/12 Gonk, Im still not sure if I want to have a go at putting some lights in side this droid at the moment but when I have made mt mind up I will make a proper start on building him, but now here he is out the box.
There is some crips details and the fit is good. There are some slightly ruff bits with one leg having a few air bubble holes but these look like they can easily be filled but i do seem to have one foot quite a bit smaller than the other, could probably be sorted by sanding down the other foot. Over all very happy with my Gonk and look forwar to building him.
This will be my first Star Wars model ever! OMG!

So after not doing much modeling over the last few weeks I sat at the desk last night and made a start on finishing this off, flat coated and added a bit more weathering. I have forgotten to fit pilot so Im going to add him to night.

Just opened mine to have a proper look and test fit and the main droid is very nice, some crips details and the fit is nice. The slightly ruff bits are the same as the reviewer has said with one leg having a few air bubble holes but these look like they can easily be filled but i do seem to have one foot quite a bit smaller than the other, could probably be sorted by sanding down the other foot. I plan on putting it together this week so will start a WIP with pictures. Over all very happy with my Gonk.

First thing that came to mind was electromagnetic holster for equipment box / gun / knife. Doing the same on the arm for a med box would bring it together, either way I like it!
Any more thought son the monster yet?

Really nice progress again, what about a seam line on the tight parts? Maybe i look at to many mecha suits but they just look like they should be in 2 parts.

So I picked this up for a couple of English ponds from a chines website just to have a go at one, for the price its got some great detail and was great fun to build. The instruction are not the best and is my first time with anything PE and thats my excuse for a poorly finished kit and a few broken parts but I will definitely be ordering a few more. Im tempted to put a grey wash over it to bring out some of the details.
one for size in my hand.
