  1. Hannants Xtradecal sheet X72308 has XX895 in the grey scheme with the "eye" Eng
  2. Couple of quick pics of this beauty. Some lovely surface detail and panel/rivet lines match up nicely across the fuselage join. From my first look I can highly recommend this one. Eng
  3. Evening all, The Pave Hawk is now slowly becoming more widely available and via a well known auction site I've now, finally, got a Pave Hawk in my grubby mitts. Its a rather impressive kit indeed, not to mention rather big! Eng
  4. Thats absolutely superb Al, one of my fave light aircraft and in Euro One came... even better. I've been sorely tempted by this kit in the past, this is further temptation!! Nice one, Eng
  5. Good Afternoon, I can help you out here! Can you please DM me some contact details please. Eng
  6. Morning folks, Very strangely, and totally out of the blue I received an envelope this morning containing a hand written letter from Martin Garrett apologising for the delay in sending decals I had ordered a long while back, and that this had been due to ongoing family health issues. The letter was very polite and sincere, and the decals were included. Eng
  7. Looking at the pics above and the photo in the previous comment of the Saudi jet, I would say those guards could be fitted with the probe in the deployed position. We use FOD/Run guards when carrying out runs on the A319/320/321 at work, but ours are basically large wheeled cages that sit round the front of the inlet, the back edge of the cage has a cutout that the nose of the inlet sits inside and there's a clearance of about 6-9 inches around this to allow for the aircraft shaking around during the runs. Eng
  8. In terms of what happens next to the aircraft there will be a very thorough clean up and a whole raft of inspections and checks carried out to the engines and airframe a laid out in Chapter 5 of the aircraft maintenance manual. Its not impossible for birds to pass clean through an engine and leave absolutely no trace of damage whatsoever, I've seen this more than once, but something the size of gulls are at minimum have bent a few fan blades if not worse. If the bird has gone through the core of the engine and not just down the bypass duct then there will be a requirement for horoscope inspections to check the various stages of LP and HP compressor. Again the AMM will lay down very specific and clear limits for quantity of blades damaged and size of damage. Oh and as has been pointed out already the smell that disassembled gulls leave in a hot engine is something that will turn the strongest of stomach's! Eng
  9. Not experienced this personally but looks like the Tamiya Thinners may have reacted with the Klear I personally only ever use Humbrol Acrylic rattle cans for the final varnish coats, I know that doesn't help here but might be worth trying next time round. Don't bin the kit though. Rub it back and have another go at it, I've got a couple of spare Revell GR.1 decals sheets if you want one. Eng

  11. Beautiful collection, thats a lot of rotor blades!!! Eng
  12. Thats absolutely outstanding, defo one of the best schemes ever applied to a Hawk. Love the base, the ground equipment and the crew. 1st class work. Eng
  13. Absolutely outstanding build, weathering looks spot on. Eng
  14. Only other thing I’d recommend with the Revell kit is to shorten the nose oleo/shock absorber slightly otherwise the jet sits slightly too nose high. Eng
  15. If you choose to build your kit with gear down and on the ground, don’t forget that the wings need to be displayed in the forward unswept position! Eng
  16. Stunning, both jets are absolutely superb! I agree about the intakes, the only area that lets the kit down a bit, but you’ve done a beautiful job of the painting and finishing of the ones on your F.3. Will miss these when they no longer grace our skies. Eng
  17. Wow what an awesome collection, everyone of them absolutely stunning.... and not a Jolly Roger in sight
  18. REALLY like this, it's absolutely beautiful, fantastic attention to detail. Eng
  19. First post I've opened tonight on BM and totally blown away by this build! I've flown on a few but probably worked, or at least set foot on, nearly every BA 767 in my 24 years with the company, I changed fuel filters on NWZ prior to its first revenue flight, and NWF split my head open when the fan cowl hold open rod dropped down as the cowl was opened!. With the exception of the sadly departed 757, these beauties are without doubt favourites of mine, the aircraft carries off the company livery perfectly and is just a good looking jet, they're lovely to fly on as well. I'm not looking forward to the day when these no longer pass through Glasgow and are eventually never seen again, nothing else looks "just right". Your build is absolutely stunning, beautifully finished and captures the fine lines of the jet "just right". A tremendous nod to this great aeroplane and a great piece of modelling, can't say more than that. I've a Revell kit part built as a SAS aircraft and the Zvezda kit with decals for a BA bird..... which I'm now rather inspired to build. Fantastic, Rgds, Eng
