Fan-bloody-tastic!!! Proper jets and a proper carrier too! Brilliant find. Does anyone remember a series shown on the Beeb in the late 80's I think about the Empire Test Pilots School? I can't for the life of me remember what it was called though. Eng

The Hawk pic is stunning, and I love the 2 F-15 shots as well. Would love to get some low level pic's like this some day. Eng

The "leak" looks to me like fuel vapour being drawn out of the wing NACA vent on the lower surface, this is probably due to the aircraft wing tanks having been fuelled to max capacity and a small amount of fuel overfilling into the vent/surge tank on the left wing. The surge tank is there to allow for fuel expansion and movement during operation. Quite often, more so on large longhaul aircraft, if the high level automatic fuel cut-off system doesn't work during refuelling there can be spillage of fuel from these vents. The vent scoop itself is there to allow air to be "scooped" into the tank to effectively pressurise the fuel tanks during flight and to relieve pressure as fuel is added during ground refuelling. Check out these pic's below - the vent and exactly what you've seen! http://www.b737.org.uk/fuel_tank_vent.htm Rgds, Eng PS - Lovely pics!!

Sorry folk's, kinda got lost on UKAR there for about an hour!!!! Some, sorry lots, of awesome pic's! Go spend some time browsing the military aviation pic's - Brilliant. Eng

Brilliant!! Got me wanting to dig my "started but not finished" one out of the loft. Great base, just enough without taking the attention away from the aircraft, and have to admit you've beaten me to it with the Apache idea. I have the Apache built less the rotors and was going to drape a glue soaked tissue "tarp" over mine. Will maybe change my plans! Eng

Lurrvely, those wheels look stunning too. Eng

WHOA!!!! And this is what you can knock out when you're in a hurry!!! Damn, I'd settle for any of my builds looking this good. That is freakin awesome! Stunning. Rgds, Eng

Very nice pic's indeed, love the Greek F-16's you've posted too! Was up visiting friends in Inverness a fortnight ago and came home on the Monday, taking the Great Glen route down the side of Loch Ness. We set off about 1000hrs and I managed to string out the journey to Fort William for about 3 hours by taking "Nessie Hunting" stops for the kid's. I'd done so in the hope that on a Monday mid to late morning we might get blasted by a couple of low level "anything's" but there was absolutely nothing! I was gutted. Granted the weather was closing in by lunchtime but it was beautiful early on. Eng (Suffering fast-jet noise withdrawal symptoms which include starting to become interested in the local Grobs from the Glasgow UAS, even these have become appealing)

Your photo's are always absolutely stunning and I wish I had the knack of having my camera handy when I need it!! I've missed far to many good opportunities for great pic's. Brilliant! Glasgow (EGPF/GLA) seems to have had a serious lack of overshoots and diversions this year unfortunately, not even many Herc visits, so I'm very jealous. Rgds, Eng

Lovely build and the Italeri offering looks nice, your finish and decalling look flawless, but still can't bring myself to like that particular colour scheme though - nothing will top a nice glossy black Hawk I'm afraid. Nice to see an Italeri kit compared to the Airfix offering. Rgds, Eng

Beauty Muzz, a very nice Phantom indeed, weathering looks superb. A good tip I got for photo's is to use a large sheet of sky blue card under and curved up behind the model as the background, it seems to work quite nicely (don't ask me the science in this - it just works rather nicely!), natural daylight is also best but living opposite you on the West coast of Scotland I know exactly what the chances of getting ANY sunlight at the moment are!!!!!!!!! Lovely build, Rgds, Eng

Put the bottles in the recycle bin....... Use use metal lids for mixing small quantities of paint or as a place to dispense superglue, small spots of Klear etc. Hold them in place with a spot of blu-tac, chuck em out when you're done and go buy more beer!! Easy and a great excuse to be permanantly trollied!!! Drink responsibly though folks, eh. Eng

Bought this just over a week ago and finished it tonite (will add 2 GBU's at some point and a small nameplate to the base) thus qualifying as my quickest build in a long time. Beautiful kit straight out of the box, better than the Dragon offering by miles, decals and all, only thing I missed til too late was that the intake section at the base of the fin is too long i.e for the AV-8B and should really have been cut back and re-shaped. Also in true Harrier fashion the gear was bloody fiddly, I managed to snap one of the outrigger fwd braces (after removal from the sprue and cleaning up!!) but repaired it successfully, the nose leg required shortened from the top slightly as the aircraft sat too nose high and I had to sand some flats on the nose and main gear to get (almost!) 5 points of contact (twin mainwheels remember!!). Base is simply a scrap of plasticard, scored, painted and weathered, with a piece of stretched sprue to make an edge light and some thick sandy coloured paint stippled on for texture and to break up the base. Oh and it's 1/144!! Just a tad wider, and same length as my.................................mobile phone!! All comments good and bad welcome, thanks. Rgds, Eng

Brilliant pic's, look at all the variety of types we had back then! Not just row upon row of F-16's and Tonka's!! Please post more! Eng
