  1. Just the masts/periscopes and prop to add after some painting.
  2. Thanks very much Steve, there's a lot to like about submarine models.
  3. If it keeps up Stuart I'll be seeking treatment but it's safe to say I'm more interested now than when I was actually working with the real thing. 😆
  4. Welcome Ralph, it really is nice to see you have joined Britmodeller. They're lovely looking models and looking forward to seeing further contributions.
  5. Thanks Stuart. There might be more sun dodging subjects appearing in the coming weeks. 😉 Hello Ralph, nice to see you here, hope you're well mate. Thanks very much. Thanks very much John. I'll make sure we can where we are. 😄 Thanks Beefy, you too.
  6. All done, just in time before I go back to work tomorrow. K-114 Tula (К-114 Тула) is a Project 667BDRM Delfin-class (NATO reporting name: Delta-IV) nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN).
  7. You're welcome. I can't remember where I saw it but can remember thinking that's clever why didn't I think of that! 😆
  8. If I was you I would scribe the engraved detail slightly deeper so when you sand you won't lose any of the detail. Also keep having a check while you're sanding and rescribe if necessary.
  9. I don't know what the bottom of the oggin looks like, nor do I want to find out in my line of work but this is the base for the Delta IV...
  10. You want to see the size of the Typhoon I have!!!! 😆
  11. This hasn't had a wip up to now, when it's nearly finished 😄, but my success rate in finishing Zvezda kits isn't great so I held off. This one nearly went the same way because of this.... That tried my patience and then some. Fortunately Michael @Woodstock74 came to the rescue with not one set of 3d printed props but three alternatives available on eBay. So this is where I am at the moment. Decals were applied today. Tomorrow I'll seal them in with a gloss coat and then some weathering. And then decide which props to use.
  12. Thanks very much Terry. I couldn't post this without mentioning those that were lost, particularly after reading of the events leading up to the loss and the subsequent rescue attempts.
  13. Hobby Boss 1/350 Oscar II "Kursk". A torpedo malfunction caused an explosion 12/08/2000 with the loss of all 118 crew. Rest in peace.
  14. Hasegawa 1/72 Heinkel 111-P. 3/KG27, May 1940.
  15. All done. This and more photos just about to be added to the gallery....
