  1. A rare occurance round here, well almost anywhere really. 😄 Painted in oils.
  2. Thank you. Thanks very much Ralph. Yep, they're the best sort. 😆
  3. Thanks very much Troy. I remember being given some advice years ago about flats, when you think you've finished shading and highlighting go back and do it again. 😄
  4. I've had a bit of a break from plastic this leave and painted a set of 30mm flat figures. Painted in oils over an enamel base coat.
  5. Thank you very much everyone for your kind comments, they're much appreciated. Roger.
  6. Just finished this 1/72 kit from Sword. Nice little build that didn't present any problems.
  7. Thank you both very much. Terry, I used this for the streaking... https://www.migjimenez.com/en/weathering-products/185-ammo-rainmarks-effects.html
  8. This trips second and final submarine completed.
  9. Thanks very much Richard. For the weathering I used the AK Interactive Slimy Grime And Fuel set along with Ammo Mig Streaking Effects.
  10. Thanks Stuart. Hmm, the weather has been like that almost continuously for over two weeks. Thanks Beefy. A dockyard setting is a nice idea but space is at a premium I'm afraid. However it hasn't stopped me from buying Vanguard and Typhoon SSBN's. 😂
  11. Thanks very much Ralph. Yes, I think I did a pretty good job of that, although it didn't help much with the build. 😄
  12. Pleased ignore the base, I have something better lined up at home. The heavy weathering below the waterline was a bit experimental but didn't turn out too bad I think. It definitely looks as if it's due a dry docking. 😄
  13. Fill, prime, sand, prime, sand .... aaaaand repeat.
  14. It's probably a bit unfair on Zvezda but a couple of kits, aircraft included not just maritime subjects, that I've been unlucky with just happen to be theirs. Some of it I'll readily put my hands up and admit it was probably my own impatience. I'd recommend this one but be prepared for some seriously fiddly work with the props.
  15. I'm hoping to get some paint on tomorrow Stuart, watch this space. 😀
