  1. Thanks for all the info/advice.
  2. Thanks for the info Jabba. Not what I wanted to hear though as the join between wing sections is best described as b****y awful and that's being generous with the Airfix incarnation. As for the link, fantastic. I have a Tornado and Jag in the stash, all destined to be Gulf war particpants, and the site is just full of useful info so many thanks.
  3. Good evening. I've started the Airfix 1/48 Bucc and intend to model an example from the first Gulf war. My question is regarding the ordanace hanging from the wings. When parked they are normally folded. Does it do so with any ordanance still attached? I've been scouring the internet but so far have been unable to find any relevant pictures/info. Any help would be very gratefully as I need all the help I can get with this one!
  4. Simply stunning! One question though, it must be rather large, where on earth will you keep it??
  5. Simply amazing in such a small scale!!!!!! If I'd have this delightful little Cat on my work bench, with my eyes, I'd have assumed it was a sprue offcut and binned it!?! Stunning result. Did you make any of the B17s?
  6. Very nice, just luv agood looking Hog. As for the load, a naked A10 just doesn'l look right!
  7. Bored??? Looking at photos like these never get boring to me, thanks for posting
  8. Noted. It could be as I was quoting the colours from the original sheet, wavy not splinter, so may well have altered slightly since the previous printing. At the end of the day it's what looks right, not always being perfectly accurate. In my humble opinion anyway (maybe the excuse I use when others notice my colours are slightly off!!)
  9. Evening. According to my Arctic Bandits sheet from Two Bobs (usually very well informed) they state that the black is FS37030, the grey is FS36231 and the white is FS36628. The randome is listed as FS36118 (gunship grey I think) Hope this helps
  10. It looks great with the Propblur. Always wanted this in the all black scheme for the US Navy. Like you I have no idea where I'd put it!
  11. Agreed although the Italeri kit does scrub up well with a little (lots!) of TLC
  12. Blimey, rather a mouthful but definitely gives me a starting point so thanks for the info Simon
  13. Afternoon..........Can anyone tell me if there is someone out there that make the electronic counter measures for the Herc in 1/48? I refer to the triangle shape pods attached to the fuselage sides behind the wings (apologies but I've no idea what they're called) Any info would be gratefully received
  14. I luv this kit, just finishing the A model with a few alterations to represent Mav and Goose from TopGun. All I need to do now is get a D. Have to wait until September when the Mrs, a teacher, goes back to work so I can sneak it in
  15. Very nice indeed and welcome to Britmodeller
  16. Is it me or does the front end resemble the Mig31 from Firefox? Could just be me needing stronger glasses of course
  17. Simply stunning! Are you sure you don't simply take pictures of the real thing!?! 😆
  18. Stunning collection and one to be very proud of. Just luving the Reds display. Shame there are more RAF aircraft on your tables than actually left in the service I believe!?!
  19. Very nice looking Eagle. I'm just finishin the old Tamiya F15C, not quite as high tech as modern offerings but still enjoying the build and my first with an airbrush. One quick question, the two green stars on the nose, are they kill markings? Pardon my ignorance but they've piqued my interest
  20. A fine collection and luving the Hunter!!! Do you still have the RAF Phantom in Vietnam? Intrigued to see that one
  21. Could not agree more! This is by far the best engineered kit I've ever had the pleasure to mess up. Mine will be the mount of a Mr Maverick and a Mr Goose thanks to the joy of the after market. Also agree about the seats. My remedy was the Eduard etch. The seats not look loads better as a result
  22. Very cool, esp in front of the HAS. Is it me or does the nose look a little odd? Open can full of worms and exits stage left!!!!!!!
  23. Simply stunning! The scheme really suits
  24. Very nice indeed, I so miss seeing her in the skies
