  3. did the Tamiya version recently, nothing as good as this one though. Great job.
  4. Cool stuff! im building one myself. Hopping it will look like at least a little bit as good as yours.
  5. I just upgraded from Chinese (kit one with as-186 compressor) to a H&S evolution cr+. Im so happy :-) another level of control for me (a newbie btw). I wen to pick my up with Paul today as i was nearby, lovely cust service with him. My 2 cents
  6. Cheers Carious. just checked your work (jeep + tanks) beautiful stuff :-)
  7. Thanks Fatboydim, very kind. I see many posts in Ready for Inspection and all over the internet that I can clearly see where i can improve starting from the choice of color, but for a first one Im happy. Almost ordering another of the same and building it again as it is not an expensive kit so at least i can justify I think the figures are not very nice, i dont think i did a bad job on them, just that the quality of it kind that makes the overall look worse rather than better in my opinion, so i gave up on them. I also have an order on the way of the DRAGON 1/35 BRITISH SAS CREW and im hopping its better quality/looking. Cheers,
  8. Thanks Tyrrhenus, i had such a hard time with the jerrycans that i ended up giving up in exchange to keep the momentum. It will definitely been observed on the next model. Cheers for the input.
  9. Hi All, Before anything i should say, its not really my first model, it's the first model i went for it and wasn't a learning/testing subject as such. I built a couple of easy and simple 1/72 models for tests. This though is the first for a few things: first 1/35 first model i tried weathering first time i tried (and gave up) painting figures and the first model i share pics online. So all things considered im quite happy, but also know there is so much to learn and master. Overall a lovely kit to build and i had loads of fun. Painted with Vallejo Model Air + Revell aqua for some of the details. Its all OOB except for the condenser pipe. Comments and critics are really welcome
  10. that is so awesome (i know, not a constructive comment but still)
  11. Thanks @SaintsPhil, i tried hard and though im sure if far from perfect, im quite please with the brush and sponge.
  12. Cheers Guys, Thanks for that. I did a fair bit of research on how to deal with the paint sequence but its reassuring to hear something specific for my case. Already working chipping, very basic as not confident to try salt or masking liquid techniques just yet Dema
  13. Hi Guys, Last weekend i started this little kit: Considering Im a newbie and all, this kit has been the most absolut pleasure to work with. That said, i have a few questions, i have most of the parts for its initial assembly ready and by ready i mean, sanded, primed and with a couple of coats of Vallejo mediumstone. My goal with this kit is to have some paint chiping going on and do some sand weathering for finishing. So to the questions and I hope the good people here could help: 1) At this stage is it advisible to add a protective coat of varnish? and if yes, which, matt or gloss would make sense? 2) The should I finish the whole of the paint job in separated peaces or it is more comon to assemble the whole kit before dealin with weathering for example? 3) Also, do you guys think this kit could benefit of a overall wash to bring up the details or just stick to basic paint chipping... For weathering I will probably use Ultimate wathering washes (Sand). Sorry for newbie questions guys. Cheers
  14. Thanks guys, just wanted to hear from the experts here I will fill the gaps and work on it right now started this little guys yesterday morning and working my way thought the weekend. Lets see what i get done by tonight
  15. Hi All, This is my first question beside the introductory post. Im a new modeler (after have started and stopped it some 20 years ago) and have been educating myself on the internet and in this forum particularly. Now, few weeks into the hobby and 3 kits later, Im working on Airfix 1:72 RAF BAE Hawk which i think is from 2011/12 but the model itself is the 208® Squadron from 2009. I have assembled most of it and primed. I have filled evident gaps with putty but I have a question on what normally you guys do for the parts I show below. I would like this kit to be the first Im proud off since i restarted with it. I tried to check on videos and articles on the internet but no luck on finding this specific info. If it was asked before please point me in the direction of it Please consider this will be a gloss black finish and though its not for a competition or something like that i want it to be a nice looking kit. So to the questions: Both wings have quite a bit of a gap as in the picture below, do you usually fill that kind of gap? Also in the stabilizers: And finally on the nose, the inside part where it will be covered with the canopy, i had a gap and i have filled and sanded it but now i dont know if to be more realistic it should be completely rounded without the mark in the middle or not: Many thanks and happy Sunday
