  1. My initial thought would be insufficient stirring tbh. I had similar issues with other products
  2. This picture came out back in 2009, along with the associated story http://i.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/film/2383809/Takeoff-looms-for-Dambusters
  3. Its just the angle mate. The second finger in is slightly raised and is higing the other finger
  4. I've not been able to do alot of modelling recently, with looking after the wife. However, when I got these sent from Moebius I had to get one built up. The Joker comes bagged up with a Batman figure in the same packet, with no instructions or painting diagram. That said, theres only 6 parts so its not too taxing. The only part I wasn't happy with was the hands, as if left as standard, they just look like 2 table tennis bats hanging from the sleeves. To fix this, I separated the fingers and bent them into shape. As I wasnt going to display the figure with any of the available vehicles, I decided to create a quick base. The is simply a 10p MDF base that I got from the Cosford show. I painted the sides with Tamiya Grit effect "paint", and the top was embellished with some mesh from a kitchen splatter guard, some off cuts of plastic card, some spare bits of etch, an old pen and some wire from an old iphone charger. This was then painted with various greys, a wash of burnt Sienna, and some dirt swept up from outside my house. Heres where I am so far Now to paint the figure Mark
  5. I'd use pastels, but if you want to stick with Tamiya Smoke, just add some Tamiya Flat Base to it to give a matt finish

Orange peel is easy to remedy. Just use some T-Cut

If your brush painting, it's multiple thin coats with a flat brush, and don't do multiple passes.
  8. Not heard anything. Moebius are the company for Batman at the moment, with thier 1:25th Batpod, 1:18th Batpod, Batman and Joker figures and Tumbler, so if anyone was going to announce one I'd put my money on them
  9. Someone else has reported that somewhere. Very strange. Don't think I'll be trying that stuff
  10. Use this link http://www.airfix.com/contact-us/ They may make a charge for the replacement
  11. Just looked at the listing and its at $157 with 7 bids, and 6 days to go
  12. Saw one on a second hand stall at Telford last year with a price tag of £400, so it'll be interesting to see the final price on these babies
  13. Well, 222 people have backed it so, with £9500 pleadged, not bad for 3 days. As for kids in Gerry Anderson, and the real world, I never kenw the 2 were connected. Joe 90, Four Feather Falls, Torchy The Battery Boy, The Adventures Of Twizzle Secret Service all had kids as main charactors. I don't really think that Gemini Force is aimed at 40 somethings.
  14. Just been to Derby and they were just unpacking a small delivery if Revell kits. Kits are now 30% off, but some have gone up in price!!!
  15. Revells cleaners great, so no probs there mate. All I can suggest is strip it down and get some cleaner in every orifice, or give it a good soak ( just be careful of any seals, because you can't guarantee how they'll hold up to being submerged)
  16. Have you got any airbrush cleaner/ liquid reader that you use, or are you cleaning with water? From what you've said it sounds like a bit of gunk is making its way to the tip and blocking it. I'd be tempted to give it a real good deep clean. It may be something from the manufacturing process that's getting caught
  17. What pressure are you spraying at?

  19. It's one of those "live and learn" things Nigel. When it happened to me all sorts of knee jerk remedies went through my mind, it's not a mistake ill make again though!
  20. I've had it in the past. It will harden up, but its not going to happen over night. I used tube cement to add stiffeners into a vac form aircraft because I thought it would give it a bit of strength, which it did, but it took a good 2 weeks before the kit could be worked on. If I was you I'd put it to one side, and give the glue time to do its thang. It's not a lost cause, it's just going to take a bit of time to cure off, and then you can set about rectifying the damage.
  21. From IMDB Outlander : Plot Starz Follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened. When she is forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, a passionate affair is ignited that tears Claire's heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
  22. I've never used pre painted etch, but normal etch belts I prefer to put on before painting because its easier to get the weathering and shading right with them in situ
