Gotta admit - I am surprised by some of the comments. When Fine Molds released their F-14 onto the scene, I got the impression everyone was saying it was "THE DEFINITIVE" F-14 kit knocking the ancient Hasegawa and Fujimi toolings into oblivion. In fact, some were complaining at the time - the FM F-14 was only available as a Japanese part works magazine series depriving the rest of the world of such a fine model kit (some pun intended)
Anyways, good to know I don't have to throw my Hasegawa and Fujimi Tomcats into the trash

Good job painting the camo, it's turned out really well 😎

Very neat build, a bit unusual to see nose art on both sides. I think I would be tempted to replace the chunky doors with custom plastic card ones.

Looks good, nice weathering 🐧

Not really seeing much in the way of flash. As for the inaccurate canopy, funny enough - I think it looks better than the real one. Real canopy looks too small and been squashed 😄
As you painted it red - just pretend it's an early prototype, the build of the model looks fine as it is.

A neat looking build. Nicely done with the paint brush.

Looks good. Reminds me of the Airfix kit I built from the same squadron. Except I got the green wrong or at least I didn't have money to buy more paint. The green I had available at that time was a bright shade almost lime - I just pretended it been out in the sun too long 🐪

I agree with the others. You got the basic camo scheme painted nicely. Just needs a bit of weathering. Looking at the photo of the real aircraft - I think Tamiya weathering powder be enough to simulate that kind of effect. It doesn't have to be exact, just similar to look realistic.

Very nice build and weathering. I think with the silvering you maybe able to carefully scrape the film away with a sharp scalpel. Another option is to paint over it and then weather the "patch" to blend it in with the rest of the camo... or indeed weather over the silvering to make it less obvious. Just a few suggestions if you want to consider for future occurrences.

A neat build, nice painting of the camo scheme. You can probably have added more staining on the belly of the Spitfire. Apparently Spits were notorious for leaking a lot of oil in that area 😄

Very nice build. You don't often see a Zero with square wing tips.

Jeeze i wonder how many modellers here cut there teeth on this one ? It was always thet Roy Cross, art work that made me buy the kit , wonderful piece of nostalgia for those of a certian age.
Not Roy Cross and some unknown model kit brand - got "scammed" once when I fell for a dramatic box art. The kit turned out to be truly a toy - no cockpit and in total 8 parts with stickers, yes - stickers instead of decals. Complete waste of paper round money that was best saved towards a proper Airfix kit. My only excuse - I was a kid and didn't know better. Even today, wifey still says that about me

A neat build. I sometimes find it strange doing kit properly from when it was done as a kid. No over excessive use of glue, thick coats of paint or decals in odd places - mostly on your fingers Still, back then it was all about getting the plane operational as fast as possible to once again defend the skies from the family cat

Very nice build. Good work on painting the camo. One can appreciate the size of the plane compared to the Lanc.

Got to say, I'm surprised there's a growing market for 1/35 helicopter models, they must be quite big. Anyways, an excellent build and a good job done on the weathering. Looks like it came out of that film.
