  1. And I have both of those kits in the stash, so will keep that in mind.
  2. Decals came from the spares file. Wasn't sure if the checker board on the tail was bigger or not. I have seen 1120 red at Cosford a few years ago. Never got any good photos though, as everything is stuffed in tightly inside.
  3. The Hobby Boss kit built in the markings of the Polish Air Force. Kit went together without any problems. Overall colour is Tamiya XF-16 Aluminium. I tried putting it on over a black under coat. Decals are from the spares file, consisting of the black wing walk decals off an Airfix decal sheet, and the number and insignias from both Hi Decal and RV Resin sheets. 4. I wish Trumpeter will make the Flankers with canards and nozzles in kit form.
  5. When will trumpeter make 1:72 versions of the J-7 variants?.
  6. Looks good to me. I think Trumpeter's Flanker kits are good.
  7. Nicely done. Have tried Authentic Decals once before and found them too thin and fragile.
  8. Great build and a nice aircraft. Flew in it from Vancouver to Victoria back in 2013.
  9. Looking forward to seeing this finished. Flew on one of their 737-200s in August 2013, Yellowknife to Edmonton. Great flight in a classic aircraft. I have the 1:72,Big Planes Kit in the stash. Turns out he decals are for the aircraft I flew on.
  10. Could not agree more. Quality of modern day Humbrol is very inconsistent.
  11. Nice build and nice to see something other than air to air missiles on a MiG-29.
  12. That's good hasegawa are reboxing a MiG-25PD kit and not dressing their MiG-25P kit up as a PD.
  13. The 1:72 Trumpeter kit built in the markings of the Pakistan Air Force. Build wise no problems, but missiles with separate fins in 1:72 is a bit fiddly. Colours used were overall Model Master 1741 grey and darker part is Model Master 2121 Grey. after spraying the gloss coat, I put it outside to dry and a gust of wind knocked it off the lid of the bin onto the ground. Only one missile was knocked off and another lost a fin. Lucky there. decals from Caracal Models went on without any issues. Caracal Models Decals. Then the next setback was the satin coat came out patchy. Was using humbrol satin. Managed to get it back with Revell matt finish. 14. Some East German MiG-21 F-13s were camouflaged late in their service lives. Talking about the late 1970s onwards.
  15. I vote for 1:72 MiG-17 and MiG-19. I won't say no to Eduard scaling their MiG-21 kits down to 1:72 either.
  16. Nice build. My experience with the kit it was a tricky little one to build.
  17. Looking forward to those decals you are working on, Kotey. The kit will be on my must get list.
  18. Got a few of the 1:72 Condor MiG-21UM kits cheap off ebay, just the bagged kit parts, no instructions or decals. That suited me fine as I have plenty of aftermarket decals to use. This aircraft is built as 16178 of the Serbian Air Force, which has been recently modified to carry the AA-8 Aphid missile to make up for a shortage of aircraft in the Serbian Air Force. This is a nice simple kit and even without an instruction sheet, not hard to work what goes where. I had no major problems with it. The AA-8 missiles and launch rails are items from the spares box. Main colour is overall Humbrol 127 grey. Decals are from Lift Here and they posed no problems.
