Awesome progress there, with all the sanding you have been doing, I bet your garden felt like christmas without the need of a snowblower/snowmaker. Looking forward to see this taking shape. Wayne. -

That looks quite big, especially when compared with the original tie. A nice job doing the repaint too. -

I especially like the Ken Block Focus. Did you find it a pain getting the Colorado decals round the tops of the wheelarches like I did with my Fiesta Ken Block Colorados. But the Colorados have gone down really well. -
Moving swiftly on with my next model, this time is the Herman Munster kit from Moebius. My wife cast her eye on this kit as we were making our way to the exit of the model fair a couple of weeks ago, so this kit is for her, just to keep her quiet. Started on the construction, which TBH isnt much as everything is half & half to be glued & very quick progress indeed. Once the Herman parts were all glued together, I sanded the seams & once I filed them down, they dissapeared quite nicely. A few small issues here & there, namely the small gap in the arms mounting to the main torso part of Hermans jacket & the lack of securing pegs for his boots to the base. But with a couple of the spare sprue moulding pegs Ive managed to sort that out. Cheers, Wayne.

Ive seen this in Hobbycraft & toyed whether to buy it or not on many occations. A cracking job there. -
Its finale time on the Cylon Raider. After putting the second coat of the silver down, I started on the detailing. Firstly masking off the long weaved section from the thrusters & painting that dark grey, then painting the forward vents in the blueish grey. Also picking out a couple of the panels in gun metal, which was also the color for the rear vents & on the underneath of the raider. Then came the cylon insignia's which I painted in Tamiya X-28 green, I then painted the eyepeice in red, with a little silver & white, to try to re-create the centre red-eye. Then came the weathering, which I applied some Agrax Earthshade to simulate a burnt effect around the thrusters & then an all-round black wash, which I applied 4 times with my cheap brush & paper toweling. All-in all Im really happy on how the raider has turned out. Cheers, Wayne.

Do you know the codes of the greys? When you say blue'ish grey for the empire, i wonder if this will do, I have some of this left over from my BSG Viper Mk. VII build. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Humbrol-Acrylics-14ml-Compass-HUMA128/dp/B009BM9ZFE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1447841154&sr=8-2&keywords=humbrol+us+compass+grey'>http://www.amazon.co.uk/Humbrol-Acrylics-14ml-Compass-HUMA128/dp/B009BM9ZFE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1447841154&sr=8-2&keywords=humbrol+us+compass+grey I was looking at the AT-ST & Tie Fighters colors & it looks bloody close. Star Wars Miniatures for Diorama?
Deadman Disciple replied to Deadman Disciple's topic in Science Fiction Discussion
Success, ive managed to find some on a ebay store. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401022447626?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT for the Snowtrooper. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151877211747?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT for a Snowtrooper with a laser turret. I emailed the seller (a very nice guy by the name of Phil) & he says they measure 34mm high. I looked at his store & he has loads of other Star Wars miniatures & he even sells Ewoks, for those of you wanting to do a Endor scene. Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. Cheers, Wayne. -
Star Wars Miniatures for Diorama?
Deadman Disciple replied to Deadman Disciple's topic in Science Fiction Discussion
Nice one Draz. Didnt have any luck at the fair a couple of weeks ago to get an AT-ST, but the wife asked me what I wanted for christmas & I said if she could get her hands on the AT-ST, that would be great. So if she manages to get one for me, I'll be sure to drop you a PM. Thanks again, Wayne. -
Moebius 1/32 cylon raider
Deadman Disciple replied to Alan 47's topic in Ready for Inspection - SF & RealSpace
Another quick question. When you installed the engines & put the bottom plate in. Did you do any filling on the rear around the engines. Ive noticed a gap on mine where you can see right through to the mounting pins. Cheers, Wayne -
After almost 2 months since my last model & waiting for the IPMS model fair at Telford last weekend, its next model time. Ive finally got my hands on the Cylon Raider from Moebius. Not many parts to put together, I started with the small secondary parts, then glueing the bottom halves of the hull wings to the main fuselage. I then primered the parts & now its time for all the bits to be glued onto the main fuselage of the raider. Cheers, Wayne.

Revell USS Voyager
Deadman Disciple replied to Ravens's topic in Ready for Inspection - SF & RealSpace
Nice work there Ravens. Did you mix the colors for the hull as Revell wanted you to? I did the grey primer & lightly dusted white over it to make the "Starship Grey" Worked out well for me (for the most part) Awesome finish. Wayne. -

Cheers Alan, I use a Citadel fine detail brush for small detail, I find it smaller than a Humbrol No1. -

Nice work there. Got one of these from the fair, just wondering when you painted the eyestrip red, how to replicate the centre eye effect. -

The silver has gone down really nice with a nice glow, Been wanting to get one of these for a while, to sit in front of my 3 vipers hanging from the ceiling in a triangle formation. Truly nice work. -

Hi guys, Trawling through the web for miniature stormtroopers/snowtroopers to possibly go with a Bandai AT-ST (in the near future), whilst ive found some good results, it doesn't state scale or size compared to the AT-ST. Im thinking of putting them onto the base at the feet of the Bandai AT-ST, just wondering if any of you guys know of where one could get these miniatures from, especially if the suppier is from UK? It would be the first time I will be attempting a diorama. Cheers in advance, Wayne.

If you use the Humbrol Mattcote in the the little 28ml glass jar, you need to give it a bloody good shake, as the matt seperates & collects at the bottom of the jar. 1 min in one hand, then swap over to the other hand for another minute.
