  1. Hi all, this is my fresh model - OH-58D from Italery made OOB. The prototype operated in Iraq in 2005. Enjoy. With best regards, Maxim
  2. Thanks! As for the static wicks, they're scratch built as the other small parts of the model. And yes, I could not avoid breaking them off, but I've done a lot of them to replace the broken one for his reason.
  3. Thank you, guys, for your comments, It's very important for me. Adrian, I have a small blog about the model building here: http://scalemodels.ru/articles/7287-vjes-1-72-su-15--ukrotitel-boingov.html I'm sorry it is in Russian, but pictures are quite informative. Anyway, if you have questions, feel free to ask me.
  4. Hi all, Here is my two years old model of the Soviet PVO interceptor Su-15TM. It was the basic antiaircraft fighter of the Soviet skyes during 1970-1980s. The kit was produced by the small Russian firm - VES. It's short run technology with very poor detailing, but it is the most exact model of Su-15TM in 1/72 scale I've ever seen. Trumpeter's kit is hardly possible to call a copy, Amodel's kit is much better. The model contains a lot of scratch built details: - landing gears, doors and wheel bays, - cockpit (using NeOmega resin and Eduard PSE parts), - R-60 missiles of Armory, - Pitot tubes, etc. Paint with Alclad II metallics, decals by Begemoth. Regards, Maxim
  5. I had never been loved in this aircraft (sorry collegues from the UK), but your model changed my feelings ! Very impressive!
  6. Thanks for all comments! They're very important! The decals are from the Eduard Spitfire Mk. IX Royal Edition kit. This kit has combo model and decal sheet for 14 prototype variants. The decals are perfect, but Microscale Sol was used anyway.
  7. Thanks for comments, gentlemen! Troy Smith, your links are very useful, thank you. You're right, there are so few pictures of the Russian IX Spits, most of the known I have. Regards.
  8. Very real image of the legend aircraft! +1
  9. Thanks for comments! For chipping the model I used multi layer painting: alclad II metallic - AK Interactive chipping flued - autentic paints. After that, I scratched the surface of the model with knife, sandpaper and water. The main thing is to stop in time.
  10. Hi, here is my model of the Spitfire IXe on the Soviet service in the victory spring 1945. This aircraft belonged to the 26th GIAP commander Vasiliy Matsievich (PVO of Leningrad). The only picture of this fighter is attached. The major part of the land-leased Spitfires Mk. IX were used in the air defense regiments (because of the high altitude), which covered important Soviet cities in the end of war. The Eduard kit is well known. It was built from the box with the addition of Rob Taurus vacu canopy. The cockpit door was scratch built and it is operable. Painted with Gansa acrylics. Regards.
  11. Impressive line of famous Russian fighters. I would add La-5 (also by Zvezda).
  12. Great collection! Thanks for the attention to the Polikarpov's theme.
  13. Yes, you are right. The first pictures were made with enery saving bulb, so they are so honest in terms of colour. Other photos were made under the sun light.
  14. Dear all, thank you for the comments! Appreciated a lot!
  15. Hi all, well known Hasegawa kit powered by Eduard photo etchet parts, CMK wheels, Vector resin R-2600 engines, Quickboost propellers and cowls, Loon Models Gunship nose. Decal - from Eagle Strike. Enjoy
  16. Thank you, gentlemen, for all your comments! They are inspiring
  17. Hi This is my first topic on Britmodeller.com. I decided to start with the American dive bomber on the British service - Brewster Bermuda Mk. I. The Special Hobby's kit is not so easy to assemble thus some scretch built details were added (flaps, gear doors, wheel bays, some cockpit details, etc.), The model was riveted. Painted by TAMIYA acrylics. Enjoy, Maxim
