Hi all, Does anyone know what weapons could be carried on the inner pylon on a Swiss MK.58 Hawker Hunter. I know about the suda 81mm rockets. Cheers Mick
I have both the Academy F-6 & FGA 9 in my stash. I have the Flightpath set I am going to use on the 9 in ADEN and I have just managed to get P&J MK58 Swiss AirForce conversion for the F-6. So your bulid is a must for me. Mick
Hi Scott, I have not found any 1/72 scale 250lb depth charges, But Redroomodels do a British 450lb depth charge and Attack Squadron do the US 325lb MK xvii, also MK 54 350lb in 1/72 & 1/48. Belcher Bits do 1500lb mine and 250lb d/c set in 1/48 cheers Mick
HI The B-24 Liberators Used by coastal command usually carried between 8-12 250lb depth charges and late war in addition carried 1 or 2 FIDOs. Just that the Lib only had one usable bombbay the other had a fuel tank. So where would the Fido's be located? cheers Mick
Should have read size/weight. The 1500lb aerial mine had only one attachment location and is too heavy to attach to a normal mossie bombbay 500lb mount
Hi, Mosquitos glass nose were used for minelaying, but only bulged bomb bays( I assume because of weight issues) could/did they carry 1 or 2 mines??? cheers Mick
Thanks Jari. Those mission reports were very interesting. 2 mines it is. (I already have the B/B mines and depth charge set, just need the bus) thank you Mick
Hi all, I was thinking of getting the 1/48 Trumpeter Welly 1c and turning it in to a minelayer. Considering max bomb load was 4500lb could or did they carry 3 of the 1500lb mines. Does anyone else do 1/48 scale mines except Belcher Bits, Cheers Mick
Hi, I was thinking of joining the Airfix Club and I notice different issues of Flying Hours Coupons on the kits I have, are they still all valid. Cheers Mick
