  1. i realy find that plastic roof ugly as hell, with some verry thin felt and a sewingmachine u can get so much better results. I Sew it about every 2 cm P7130649.jpg by Mark Nijenhuis, on Flickr And with a little spray adhesive u can place i quit nice. 2. It's a nice kit with a lot of detail, i think the woodwork schould be in real wood and the engine needs a lot of rework to make it presenteble. Also the wireweels need to be reworked to look nice. About the chain fitting i have the idea of making the tip of a round soldering iron hallowed so the rivet can be reproduced by light heating en forming it. (i hope that works)
  3. Wayne, it's you'res and only you're build, choices and so on, there is acctually just one thing that counts, have FUN buidling it! I wish i had that book........... pictures on the www are as rare as the car it self.
  4. And u don't have to in fact i know that the car hase been delivered on reqeust in just the primercoat, so the customer could decide color ore combination he wanted
  5. The entire underbuild should be matt, not roymattblack but matt black And wait untill u come to assambly the chassis and bodywork, mine was crooked as H*ll....... Actually the whole build took very much time, fiddeling, many many many dry fitting sessions and nervbraking hours. Just a suggestion, always look 5 steps ahead. Who said that moddeling was fun? I got my deckchair ready, this is going to be a nice long build. My once build topic was throw away by a over busy admim, but if u need pics u ma always look here, https://www.flickr.com/photos/haddewade/sets/72157634285874927/ They are not all in order but give u a good inpression what u can expect to come
  6. Larchiefeng, i like ure build so far but one thing has to be sad, ure engine is not a correct 540K, the airvent should be under 90 degrees and the inlet manyfould and exhaust should be scwitched places. P3021906.jpg by Mark Nijenhuis, on Flickr Here u have a corect picture. (fore reference purpose only) http://www.autobahnkurier540k.com/images/540kA/8.JPG
