I didn't actually put my name down for this but hopefully there is still room on deck. One of my New Year resolutions is to enter as many GBs as I can...I will tell you at the end of the year how many that it! A long long time ago....ok actually probably about 2016 I picked up this set. I don't actually remember why. I don't tend to build models from the Pacific War...no particular reason just have always focused on European British and German builds when doing WWII builds. Anyway I have a vague recollection it was a bargain. I built the Zero at the time but the Kate and the Warhawk remain intact....or at least I hoped so. In a move at some point the box split open and everything ended up everywhere. Some time later I stuffed everything back in the box but without checking it was all there...until tonight. Good news is it is and on the basis that the Kate must qualify I am going with that. The sprues: The only scheme: As always all comments welcome. Cant wait to get building. Cheers Dave

Just done a quick tot up and reckon it’s a little over 5.5 hours start to finish in lots of small blocks.

Carried 9n a bit after the above and got a black undercoat on. And then some Vallejo steel. That was all for Christmas Day 😀

Its been a long year with no where near as much modelling as I would have liked (the usual then). Christmas has come around far too quickly. I made one decision early on in Christmas prep. With over 100 models in the stash I just couldn't justify asking for more. I also made an early New Year's resolution "Must Build More". So with that in mind I was browsing Britmodeller earlier for inspiration and realised there was a Blitzbuild on...done lots of GBs but never a Blitzbuild. Over 4 days as well and the Great Escape options sounds perfect given I am hosting the in laws. A quick look at the stash revealed a nice little 1/144 Mig 19s. Might be able to get this done in the time....famous last words. Small part count as expected...didn't expect resin but there it is. Started my first session at 4.19pm today. Made some progress by 4.38pm (all of 19 mins) when Mrs K came home from some last minute shopping and queried how I had time for modelling... I am sure I will find some more time later.... As always all comments welcome. Dave

I know I like a good Meteor but I went to turn out my stash today and found this lot... I cant actually remember buying them all which probably explains the fact I have two identical Mk.8s. My first thought was as I have two I will do one of the Mk.8s....question for the group do I get judged if I don't use the resin (or all of it) 😉 There is quite a bit and its mostly going to be hidden in the cockpit!!!
