    Help!

Thanks guys. I'll see what can be done. Good point on the thread title, I was just panicking a bit and didn't think about it.

    Help!

So I just finished painting my brand new defiant and was giving it a spray coat of varnish prior to decals going on when I realised to my considerable horror I forgot to mask off the canopy and turret transparencies. Given the work that went into masking off the turret in particular is there anything I can do to salvage the situation? Its open canopy at the moment but I can always swap the cockpit bits for one of the closed ones, its the turret I'm more annoyed about. Thanks in advance.
  3. Just read the book at the start of the year, I'm in. As a loyal Scot it would have to be a Seafire for the Forth Bridge episode. Conveniently I don't think that had any codes on it at the time.
  4. The Red Arrows Gnat was my first build back. It was pretty uncomplicated although I remember fitting the wing to the fuselage took a while to get right. My main problem was how tiny all the undercarriage pieces were, that called for patience. I did paint the backseat pilot with a blue flight suit as a laugh, got to show respect for the circus.
  5. I wish I could have a disaster turn out that well. Great work.
  6. I had the same three hanging from my ceiling in my teens! They were nowhere near the level of execution though. Lovely.
  7. Very nice. Those were my first two kits on returning, albeit in 1/72.The Reds must be responsible for a good bit of airfix profit. Gnat undercarriage is so fiddly in 72.
  8. Please let someone reissue that! I have to have me one! I'll never get it to look near as good as that but I can dream. Stunning work.
  9. That is simply incredible! I've never seen a B1b in any two tone scheme before. Beautiful.
  10. Lovely job. I think I'm more glad to hear its a good build as I just picked one up the other day.
  11. No pictures, but like everyone else a lot of memories coming back. Of what I can remember being up there I had a Gulf War Tornado, Jaguar and Buccaneer, an EF-111, F-16, Red Arrows Gnat and a BAE Strikemaster for the jets and a Spitfire, Hurricane Mk IID, Hawker Tempest, Junkers 88, B-25 Mitchell and a Vought Corsair for the WW2 stuff. And I have just remembered a Bulldog and a Shorts Tucano. All now lost after the parents moved house. So inconsiderate of them.
