  1. The tail sort of looked, just "stuck on" with that 14 Sqd scheme. But that flowing Diamonds tail design looked great.
  2. Same way the 14 Sqn Anniversary tailed jet did not have a the spine painted the same blue as the Tail design. That scheme would of looks great if done that way.
  3. Anyone got thier hands on the kit yet, be interesting to hear first impressions on the surface detail and plastic?
  4. The seats changed around mid 80's, around the same time as the T1a upgrade to carry the Aim-9 Sidewinder. Have a look though photo's, some early air defence schemed still had early seats, by late 80's all had the narrow head box.
  5. Well, maybe time for a little scratch building and resin again?..Hmmm
  6. Nice, interesting schemes. Which one to order?....Only need one for the collection.
  7. I have the Eduard Jp233 in 1/48th and they are quite lumps in resin.
  8. Most camo Hawks had just red crosses on the flaps as a no step..First time i've noticed those boot markings..
  9. Nice to see this has been produced, may have to grab one for a future Tornado build. Does the casting weigh much in 1/48th?
  10. Very nice built, nice to see another set of wing seals put to good use. Great work..looks ace
  11. Has the rear fuselage near the exhausts been reshaped on these long nose versions? I know a few criticise this area of the short nose kits.. It there only one decal option in the kit?
  12. The asymmetric load was dropped when it was found the rocket pod caused wing fatigue cracking. The small T-shape bare area you see on the top side of Hawk wings above the pylon was to check for cracks on this area of wing around the pylon mount. A pair of CBLS 100 became the common fit. If your stuck for CBLS pods drop me a PM, I may be able help.. Acquisition rounds are easy, just chop the fins of a sidewinder.
  13. Nice build, love the two seat Hunters..i think this aircraft was the only one to carry any Squadron markings at Brawdy..
  14. I can't find thread but have a i'll have search later for it..
  15. I am looking for the same, would like some 1/32nd ground crew for a Diorama
  16. PM me for Tips as i've done a gloss black Hawk, and was happy with the finish.. I did have photo's on here but with the photobucket issues a while ago they have disappeared.. I can also help you with pilots if your stuck as i made resin RAF pilots for my build.
  17. All the RAF Hawks got the Tail mod, best way to tell if check the base of the Rudder, early is short, later and current it extends to end of the fuselage. Your kit is looking good.. How are you planing to do the pilots?
  18. In Resin this would be a big lump, i got a pair of JP233 from Eduard this week and they are large and quite heavy...and as long as 1/72 Spitfire. The 1/48th Hobby boss did come with a MW1 and i'd rather hang that under a Tornado due to weight on the models undercarrage.
  19. Prototype JP233, Thats a good idea and would add colour to a model..And you can build a early Tornado to carry it..and paint a white belly and red/orange photography pods for the wings.
