Be interesting to see how good the wheel bay doors and airbrake fit in the closed position. You could even used the panel to rear of the bomb as your point for the rod/stand. Now don't give me more ideas. I'm allready considering borrowing some polycaps from my Tamiya F-16 to make the tanks removable and then swap for pylons as i feel it.

I'm toying with the idea of attaching the bomb bay cover with magnets so can be removed to view the interior. Shaun

Thanks, thats a great photo to show the doors and it makes sence to create an air dam under the fuselage. Will have a search around the builds on here for painting ideas. BTW, the Tamiya kit looks amazing on sprues in the box.

A question on simular thread. The kit instructions state the weapon bay doors part open when in vertical landing mode, is this the rule as i'm sure some photo's show them closed in the hover. What are the best "from the bottle" model paints to paint an F-35 to avoid all the mixing that the instructions ask you to do. Shaun

The box art shows the more detailed late fox head artwork on the intake, which would be correct for a late service aircraft in 1993. This later design arrived around the time of gray Buccaneers.

Anyone else see the 809Sqn marked F-35B in the stand up event this week. Wonder if the large Phoenix markings will make it airborne for photo's?

Have there been any thoughts of a set of standard Squadron markings (2,9,12,13,15,31,41)for the Tornado GR4 in 1/32nd. The Italeri kit has not seen much aftermarket interest.

I was thinking along those lines, The 208 Sqn markings have been pretty much consistent through out thier Buccaneer period. Maybe try the magnetic trick and see if interchangeable stores are possable.

A lot of schemes can be obtained from sheets allready out there. In my stash i have most squadrons covered with decals in stock. But still looking for the large Black outlined in white tail codes that were used on the Losiemouth wing for a short while.

I have the same idea, magnets should be easy to fit with the design of the parts...positioned just front and rear to avoid fouling any bomb bay stores.

Not seen the calendar, what subject is the box art? Not built the kit yet, but can you built it with the Bomb bay detachable to show the details and can the cover be popped back in to cover the bay.

Hannants have the Furball decals F-35 pt4 back in stock

Looking at reference pics, the yellow RAF HAR3 seem to carry more stencils(in Black) than the Navy schemes in the kits decal sheet. This maybe an issue for those trying to build a RAF before Airfix may release this version.

500 boxes with the coin shipped direct to the distributor is hardly the biggest ask of any producer. They may even be popping the boxes open in the Airfix warehouse and slipping the coins in before despatch. Its just a marketing idea to get you to order direct from the manufacturer.

That coin looks good, and nice to have a new sprure with the Falklands mods.

A quick search of e-bay this morning, showed a handy inside and outside mask set by 3Dline models for the Airfix 1/48 Sea kings extensive glass house. Looks good value at £9.00
