  1. Thank you for your kind words! Now off to the next one!
  2. I have just replaced the pix in the first comment for new ones with better contrast. Looks like the real deal now!
  3. Thank you! Here are a few other photographs with a dark grey background. Totally changes the perception of the colours!
  4. Hello lads, Here is the latest release from the workbench : the White 10 Mystère IV of Israel's Heyl Ha Avir, from Azur/FRROM in 1/72. The model was built straight from the box, so with all shape issues (mainly the nose which is too thin and conical, and the too hefty aft fuselage). The resin and PE included in the box are a nice addition. Except for the nose intake veins, the build was pretty straightforward (the modeller's mistake notwithstanding ). Vallejo/Modelcolor paints, with oil paint weathering, kit's decals and Pébéo mat varnish. Update on July, 18th : Edited photographs to fix the contrast. Should looks better now!
  5. Hello Dave, Thx for the input. You are right about the Light Compass Ghost Grey, I have found @ChocksAway build thread, but sadly all pictures are gone : Thank you again!
  6. Hello everyone, I have just bought the very nice ESCI Sea Harrier FRS1 kit. I would like to depart a little bit from the ubiquitous Falkland War camo, and the late Indian FRS Mk51 camouflage has caught my eye : While the tanks and moving canopy look like they still are painted EDSG and white, I have no clue about the main camo colour. Does any one of you know what is the colour used for this camo, and a corresponding model paint equivalent? Are the undersides the same colours (could not find any picture)? And by the way, what are the main visible differences between FRS1 and late FRS51 (beside the weaponry which I am not going to use on my model)? Thanks in advance!
  7. Thank you all! So I guess I might enjoy a little of artistic licence regarding roundel size.
  8. Hello everyone ! One of the stack kits at home being the 1/72 Mach 2 B-45, I am gathering data to model the RB-45C used by the brave RAF crews to overfly Moscow in 1952 (while their USAF friends were having a beer at the mess J). Then I need Type D roundel decals to do so. I am considering buying a sheet from Xtradecals, but my problem is that I am not sure that the roundel sizes on the sheet (84", 66", 54", 48", 36" and 30") correspond to the ones sported by the RB-45C. I have tried to measure them on the pictures and extrapolate their diameters, but I have ended up with pretty peculiar dimensions (77” and so on). My maths might be wrong… So I need a little help from you RAF experts. In 1952, did RAF regulations enforce only certain specific roundel size, or was the diameter adaptable to each plane? If specific sizes existed, on which criteria was the size chosen : type dependent (eg for wings : 100” for heavies, 54” for jet fighters, 30” for light planes)? what looked best? The largest one possible? Thank you very much for your help on this topic! Best regards,
