  1. Air Battle of Imphal even tho it was ferocious, I think it is mostly forgotten and models like yours rekindle it, there were many RAF and RAAF aces here too, wish many more in the future.
  2. Very impressive and cool subject, Satoru shot down a few aircraft here in Imphal. Thank you sharing, cheers
  3. Nice model mate, I still remember flying with Jet Airways many moons ago. Thanks
  4. Greetings Folks, My latest work and my first Growler, I really like the F-18s hornets, not Top Gun influence tho. I have built a few of it but never built a Growler before. The kit was little tricky to build some parts were hard to joint. It came with many missiles and pods bonus for the next F-18 if we were to add munitions. I painted using Tamiya grey Xf-66 missing with white and eyeball the colors. There were two marking options I went for the Scorpion as it look visually more vivid. Thank you for watching cheers.
  5. I need to get myself a one with a reviter. The new ICM tooling is just fantastic and for a model is very long overdue it is truly a blessing from ICM.
  6. Greetings, R U ready for a Foxbat!!! My latest completed project is the Mig-25RU. The Mig-25s have been in service since 1981 in the Indian air force and their only role is to be strategic reconnaissance. It was operated by 102 sq in the IAF service. It was extensively used during the Kargil war and after 25 years of service it was retired in 2006 my aircraft DS-362 is preserved in Kalaikunda AFS. Now, the kit. I have to say, ICM does a fantastic job and it is on par with Japanese manufacturers. The details are great and they fit well, my only criticism is that the plastic tad soft and reacts very sensitively to the paint thinner. The building was straightforward, at first I was scared by the number of pages on the booklet, however, once started it was a smooth sail. I really enjoyed building it. The decals are ok If I were to rate it would be 7/10. For painting the aircraft, I use Tamiya Xf-66 and made it fade like the traffic gray by adding white paint to it. Then, I post-shade the panel lines with highly diluted brown mixed with gray and black. The decals, very great, however, I find them too soft for stencils and it was daunting tasking applying them, once applied registered well. Without much further ado, here it is. Thank you for watching. Cheers Ps: It is an awesome kit and I highly recommend it.
  7. Greetings Steve, Thank you, even I like the B-50 sadly there is only one middle age tooling from Academy but can't beat the price for sure. I look forward to building one more and a B-29 and that it, no more space hehe Thank you Bertie, appreciate the kind words, really like doing these four engines aircraft of ww2, however, space can be problematic. Thanks Paul, yeah time to get it out and loft into there air like mine here hehe ................. Sunny day, took for a flying shot( little bit of photoshop magic)
  8. Impressive, have never built any black birds of USA, I really wanted to build a Sr-71 and F-117. Maybe soon in not so distance future.

  11. Thanks @SAT69 I built OOB, however, I have another a vacuform canopy sent to me a person who has already built a B-50 with his own glazing. I have another B-50 and will be using that one. I am thinking to do either as a weather aircraft or a refueller. Much appreciated for the kind words, cheers.
  12. Yes, buddy, much appreciated for the kind word, cheers Thank you, will add more pictures later with another B-29 together.
  13. Greetings, I promised myself that one day I will build one and here it is. When I first got the kit it came with the front bombardier glazing missing, I wrote many times to Academy with no joy and search many forums and eBay for the same with no luck. However, last year a guy from Florida sent me one however, he declared the canopy as 40$ so have to pay half the value as customs duty which ok I guess. You win some you lose some. I got a kit with some missing and broken parts, but it was all manageable and during my break here in my hometown with basic tools and 3 days of none stop-building, here it is. For paint, I used mr.color silver and by adding different colors to it I created variations in shade. I also, use local paints which are cheap but not so great but do the job. It was a tail sitter last time, however with 60gm in the nose section, the navigation section is packed with lead, and viola it worked. No longer a tail sitter, not my favorite markings but will do the job for the time being, I have one more B-50 and planning to get some new decals and make either a tanker or mother bird. Thank you for watching, cheers.
  14. Thank you very much for the words, Yes, Sir, it is and have been pointed out, something to avoid next time, cheers
  15. Thank you Martin, really appreciate the kind words, Even I have seen few time while I was in Goa many moons ago with Mig-29k, sad there is no Mig-29k models out there Thanks Linus, you learned from you mistakes and I appreciate the corrections will try to correct it on next build as it is too late for this one. Thank you very much Panthehawk, cheers
  16. Hi Guys, My first post of the year and I have decided to build an Indian Navy Sea Harrier 1/72 scale from Hasegawa Frs.1. It was straight OOB built and uses the generic decals of the kit except for the roundels. I don't have the sq marking as of now will add it in the future. The grey was a tad hard to paint as it was quite confusing with so many variations in the Indian service, I opted for one that looks a bit worn out from the original one from the UK. I added a Sea eagle, there is only one picture of it carrying the missile in the Indian service. Thank you for watching cheers.
  17. Impressive work, am building a one for a friend, am using Tamiya and Mr.Color silver.
  18. Mukund for a person who built only tanks and vehicle this is a cracking Surya Kiran, Great Job looking forward to more Airplanes from you. Cheers
  19. Yes, his dad was in AAC but get the chance to fly a Mig-23UB rear seat during Kargil war.
  20. This post is a red flag and should be reported for posting actual plane as model hehe. This has to be one of the finest Su-35 model I have seen, if it wasn't shot behind a white backdrop most folks would have taken it as the real deal. Cheers
