Excellent work Adrian. Gotta love these small scale biplanes especially when finished as well as this one.

Nice work on your dioramas. I hope you find a solution to the Spitfire canopy. You've nothing to lose cutting up the kit one if Ian C sends you a vac form.ย

Hi Seb,ย
ย
I'd recommend you don't take the paint straight from the pot to brush on to the model. Get a paint pallet or an old plate to mix your paint on and thin it down with tap water or recommend thinner. Mix the paint until it's of a consistency similar to milk and apply multiple thin coats until you achieve the density of colour you need. From experience these paint pots are hit or miss and need thorough stirring until you get the colour consistent.ย
ย
Hope that helps.

Good solid result especially using the kit paint pots. It's good to hear you enjoyed it enough to try some more. Have a go painting the canopy frames. You can pick off any excess acrylic paint with a cocktail stick before it fully dries.ย

Superb restoration. The Devestator was one of my favourite Airfix kits. I built mine in line with the box artwork.ย

All looks good to me. Seams always present a challenge but your top one at least looks flawless.ย

Nice work on an old classic. I think the moulds are originally Monogram. Unusual scheme and a bit different.ย

Again, great detailing added to an already detailed kit. The tamiya bottle does provide perspective with the engine looking bigger than I imagined.ย

Lovely work. Looking forward to the next update.

Looking good ๐ progress has been swift, which presumably reflect the good fit Airfix have achieved with this kit.ย

Very nice work. I love the look you have achieved with engine. A lifesize object in the photos would serve well to provide a sense of scale.ย

Great work so far. Anyone who can rig biplanes has my admiration. I had no clue there is internal rigging as well!ย
ย
Looking forward to more progress.

Cracking builds of these vintage Airfix classics. They are all really good and I particularly like the Battle.
