  1. i am very interested in the panel line staining effects being used here. @Roger Newsome what is your method? Martin
  2. Hi Dennis, I am admiring Roger's work here and felt it would be inappropriate to fade the national markings. While Greek machines often faded to an extreme they always kept these markings in better order to the degree they could in the Mediterranean weather. Just trying to be encouraging ;). Martin
  3. Nice :). I like the nose mounted cannon, like the UH-1M. An MX-3 or was is XM-3? Martin PS: I just checked - an M-5. A grenade launcher
  4. Thanks Andy. I'll dig out some more from that trip soon. Martin
  5. ... good luck with the set up. I’m looking forward to seeing what you post Martin
  6. No problem, mate. They were certainly great times, when you could relatively easily access these machines, and when they wore something other than overall grey ;).
  7. Hi Jinxman, It is a Nikon Coolscan VED and I process with old Photoshop (Elements) 9. Thanks for your compliments Martin
  8. Thanks for the likes chaps. I am wondering, though, if the time am spending at the scanner with chopper images is worth it! :(.... apart from yours there is, it seems, little interest in anything that doesn’t consume huge amounts of Jet A-1 that then gets blasted through an afterburner :(... Martin
  9. Ah yes, JFK was more interesting with the RF-8s. A very choppy trip out to her as I recall! Blue Blasters A-6s, Swordsmen F-14s and more Martin
  10. Me too, although I was partial to Frog kits too and had a Whitley underway by Christmas afternoon on one year! Martin
  11. Okay, I'll get back to the scanner soon Martin
  12. If nothing else you deserve praise for sticking with the gentleman's scale ;). Good build. Martin
  13. Thanks Wez. Yes, I hoping to replicate those with my brush/broom filaments ;).
  14. Of what, mate? A-7s?, Hercs?, choppers? Starfighters? MIGs? Other U.S. army? .........or pot luck? Martin
  15. Hi again all! This time I've opted for something a little more local. The date was 23rd June 1978 and the following few shots are from a visit to the carrier while docked in Stokes Bay, off Portsmouth, UK. A typically grey and wet day played havoc with Kodak's finest but I've wrestled these in to submission ;): I hope you like them. Martin
  16. I didn't mean to give you a headache but it'll look right once done Martin
