  3. They need brass rod to strengthen them, Andre
  4. Nice work, Bill. Are you planning to paint the putties canopy seals at some stage?
  5. Not long now! No hace muchos, todos! Não faz muito tempo! Il n'y a plus I’d still like to see more non-aviation subjects.....hint, hint
  6. They arrived and so I'll be getting the decalling finished today ... I hope! Martin edit: and they are on
  7. Hi Justin! Is that that gap being filled? Martin. It sounds too much of a good project not to see it through before the end
  8. Is anything poking out of that box, Pat, says "build me!"
  9. Think of the positives, Mark - sleek and elegant, fast .... very fast, many pilots loved her, ahead of its time, etc, etc, and, as you say, there are loads of marking options! . And what a sound (in its pre-F-104S versions, at least)!!!! Martin
  10. My challenge, and maybe it is my old banana-like fingers, is the application of the masks on the quarter-lights. The tolerance is very small is terms of keeping the mask off of the putty line. The SH masks are designed to fit inside the putty line, as you will know, and then you need to paint the putty line and then mask over that before applying the metallics. My issue is getting the finely cut mask to fit within that. Right now I am contemplating custom masking with 2mm tape instead.
  11. I had posted this within my build thread but thought it to be better placed here: “I’d be interested to hear the experience of those who have got through the painting of the canopy and quarter-light stage of the Special Hobby kit, particularly the latter as the seals moulded in are extremely fine. Thanks.” Martin
