  1. Superb finish, very realistic, especially the reverse thrust buckets, outstanding.
  2. Hi Drift, I can't help with the trolley I'm afraid. Hopefully, by the end of next week, I will have the Mossie in my stash too. I have found this build to be very good and was wondering if you have seen it? I have found it quite inspirational. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/5591-124-airfix-scale-mosquito-build/ Cheers Kev
  3. Grabbing a seat for this one! What a fantastic tribute to a fantastic A/C! Cheers Kev
  4. Brilliant build Dave, a very graceful aircraft, looking stunning in that livery. Excellent work. Cheers Kev
  5. Excellent work Gazza1. The 111 jet looks very well in its natural state in the air! I have the F3, IDS and GR4 waiting to be built. If I get anywhere near what you have achieved I will be well pleased. Thanks very much for the inspiration. Do you have any wip shots? Regards Kev
  6. I have just read the whole thread Adrian, Stunning work, a marvellous attention to detail you have. Your vac forming is very inspiring. Looking forward to seeing it all come together. Cheers Kev
  7. I have just found this thread, what a fantastic build, attention to detail in the scratching of the fod covers is excellent. Your decal work puts many kit manufacturers to shame, especially on the missiles. This has to be one of the finest threads I have seen and congratulations on the actual tiger design too! Phenomenal!
  8. Count me in, if a 1/48 1963 111 Sqn BAC Lightning F1 is acceptable? I had the pleasure of serving on 111 Sqn in the early '90s, I was born in 1963 so that is my tie-in.
  9. What a fantastic project! Love the fact that you can tie everything together after all these years. Will tag along and see how it goes if you don't mind?
  10. Welcome to the forum Simon, I am in a similar position to your self. A long break and slowly working my way back in. I have the same kit to build but plan a few 1/48th scale kits first before diving into the Mossie. The BOAC version does sound rather appealing 🤔
  11. I suppose to be fair, you did not specify which Telford you were talking about 🤔
  12. Thank you for the info guys, something I was not aware of. Thanks for posting the photo too as I did not know about the white? band on the tailplane. Cheers Kevin
  13. Excellent work, very impressed with your weathering, a very realistic effect, especially the tanks. Thanks for the advice about the intakes too, I have one in the stash to build so any build snippets are very interesting. Well done! Cheers Kevin
  14. Thanks for the quick reply Graham, I may go for JU, H, as H was the Sqn designation when I was there. Thanks for the info on the spinner too, most helpful. Cheers Kevin
  15. Hi I would like to build Hurricane Mk1 V6985 at Dyce airfield in March of 1941. It belonged at that time to 111 Sqn who had the Sqn code JU. Is there any way that I can find out the aircraft letter used, or are these lost in the mists of time? For the kit I am using the Airfix 1/48 Mk1 with a three blade prop, are there any mods I need to do to the kit? Regards Kevin
  16. WOW!! just WOW!! Amazing work Fozzy, love your attention to detail and perseverance to get everything looking just right. Well done sir!
  17. Wow that cockpit is fantastic, especially the instruments!
  18. For the F3 Gazza I am biased to 111 Sqn although the Falkland Island jets would make a nice model?
  19. Superb job, well done. I have the Revell IDS, hoping to wring a mid 90's 31 Sqn jet out of it. Also the Revell F3 for an early 90's 111 Sqn jet. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
  20. I have to keep reminding myself this is 1/72!!! Awesome work!!
