  1. have you seen this site? Vallejo colours for various navies http://ipmsswamp.com/files/VallejoWWIINavalColorEquivalents.pdf
  2. Would the 'pink' be the same colour as used in WW2 - Desert Pink Z1?
  3. Ah, forgot that - I just did a quick search this morning and this came up https://sites.google.com/site/castoffmodels/contact-us Ian - if you pm me I've got some of their bits and pieces I don't need. Still in their bags.

  5. Is she in a for a refit? Looks likes shes been away for a long time - thanks for posting

  7. Nice - I'm still struggling with putting together the MA Athenian Hoplite
  8. I'll be watching this one with interest. How are you finding the coastal craft upngrades? Just bought some of their accessory sets via hannants and just looking at them in the bags am very impressed with the detail! Need to get some of their stanchion sets

  10. Like to find out more about this as my Grandad served on HMS Lion as a stoker during WW1
  11. Great photo's. Understand that my local Tamar in Tenby has been out on exercise with the new coastguard helicopter this morning
  12. Excellent model - now might get mine out of the stash
  13. vicount806x - totally agree - I work with cad all day drawing up buildings at 1:1 scale, put the model file on a drawing sheet and scale it down to 1;5, 1:50 or 1:500 print it and scale off the print and you will almost never get a true scaled dimension. That's why we always use scale bars so people can see if the print is true to scale.
  14. Great models and thanks for the background info. I have 3 on the go at the moment and Resicast do a fitters version if I remember right which I must try and get. One thing I would check on (and this is not meant as a criticism) is whether the lrdg (and the sas for that matter) used the bren in the middle east - see http://lrdg.hegewisch.net/and other sites. Lloyd Owen - the LRDG commander from 1943 to 1945 says the bren wasn't used by them until the balkans campaign.
  15. Bought the eduard etch set for the kit a few years ago and there is quite a bit left over unless you want to do a cromwell from a Polish regiment. There are some handy details to upgrade the kit though - hinges for the side bins, gun sights etc
  16. I believe there is a company called Grey Matter Figures that do 1/24 accessories for the spitfire, so they may well do similar for the hurricane
