  1. The Airfix and Heller kits are the same kit, The Heller 1/8 Commando is a nicely detailed kit but has a lot of parts and can be tough to build like any other Heller kit. It was re-issued not too long ago so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Italeri recently produced a kit of the Commando 750 PR (Production Racer). That kit started life as a Protar model. Italeri did some upgrades to it including replacing Protar's die cast metal frame with a plastic one.
  2. That 5-wheeled thing was made from a Terra Gator. They are used for agriculture, usually as sprayers. Someone just painted it red, took the spray tank off and put on a flatbed with seats.
  3. Does anyone in the aftermarket offer the old 4-spoke Ford RS style wheels in 1/24? Is there anything in a kit that's close?
  4. I have the Pyro Lambretta and I believe it's the only one ever kitted. It's 1/16 scale and very nice I'd recommend it if you can find one.
  5. Fernando Pinto Models just came out with a 1/24 Thrust 2 kit. I want that REAL bad. Must start saving my pennies!
  6. "Unstarted" on eBay typically seems to mean a few parts are glued. "Started" usually means a half-assembled glue bomb with parts missing! Good luck with your build. I've always wanted one of those big Cords. I regret not buying one when they were last released back in the 90's.
  7. It is a pretty interesting show, even if it is all staged. The cars are cool and genuinely quick. I'd be surprised if any kits are ever made. The development time for a model kit is so long that the show will probably be off the air before they come out. Now diecast is a different story. It's a wonder some company like Hot Wheels hasn't jumped on the bandwagon. I think a 1/64 Murder Nova, Big Chief or Farmtruck would be hot sellers.
  8. A Truimph Bonneville or Trident and a Honda CB750K2 in 1/12 scale would be my choice for bikes. For cars I'll take a new-tool 71-73 Mustang in 1/25 -1/24. A Triumph TR-6 and a Citroen SM in 1/24 would be awesome too!
  9. Revell also did a stock BSA Twin and a Triumph custom in 1/25 as parts packs and re-issued them in the 80's under the "Grease 2" label. It's a little obscure, but AMT included a nice 1/25 Triumph Bonneville with their 63 Chevy Pick-up kit. It's available in resin from Replicas and Miniatures Co. of Maryland. There were also 2 versions of the Revell 1/8 Triumph drag bike. The one from the early 60's with a stock frame and one from the early 70's with a stretched frame.
