  1. Hi Ray, That makes an interesting read - thanks for the link. It looks like she was built too late to get the two bladed prop, but I think the most surprising thing in there is that she was kicked out of Hendon to make way for the EH101! Cheers, WV908
  2. Is the Cosford Mk.1 accurate in having a three bladed prop, or was it simply that nothing else suitable was available during the restoration to Mk.1 configuration so she kept a three blade prop? I'd quite like to build this one, but in strictly wartime condition. Cheers, WV908
  3. If it's getting to the point where we're having to pick over tiny cockpit parts that may or may not be there in what is a very tiny cockpit in 1/48, I think we can safely say it's a good kit! Cheers, WV908
  4. @flarpen Looking at comments both on Facebook and LSP (and through limited conversation with Jetmads myself) the Draken is pretty much confirmed anyway. It's more a matter of when than if. I think another manufacturer is doing the Tunnan, but expect to see a Lansen at some point too. Cheers, WV908
  5. Scheme 'B' coded PN-M has two potential serials listed; K9831 and K9832 Does anyone know which aircraft this actually is? Also I'm failing to find photo evidence of K9953 ZP-A in the condition in which she has been depicted by Eduard. Cheers, WV908
  6. Hi again all, Further to this, looking though the instructions, N3180 (Kiwi) and K9953 (ZP-A) have neither fuselage or tail serials. Marking option B (41sqn PN-M 1939) doesn't even have a serial listed in the description, never mind not having one actually on the aircraft. K9831 and K9832 are mentioned in the bio for the scheme but it is not mentioned which it is. Is anyone able to elaborate on these three aircraft please? Cheers, WV908

Afternoon all, My Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Story double-boxing has just turned up and whilst perusing which schemes of the 10 available to build, I note that half the options do not have serial numbers on the aircraft. Was this a common practice with early Spitfires and did these aircraft eventually gain serials, or did they have them and they were removed before combat? Thanks, WV908

  10. Hi @scottyphbeta Pretty sure I have one of the correct Aeroclub canopies that you need. I did have a project to build a B.35 in 1/72 that I was collecting parts for, but since my switch to 1/48 it's been shelved in favour of converting an Airfix PR.XVI to one. I'm glad that Alan has decided to carry on with just these two projects - we've seen smaller manufacturers snow themselves under with too many projects on the go countless times now in recent years (It's even more prevalent in Model Railways) I think it was a good choice for Alan to ditch the VC-10, Voyager and TriStar and he seems to have done well in selling off the Gannet moulds. I hope he keeps in good health and I look forward to seeing the Phantom and Jag progress. It woul be nice to see the Sea King and --- ------- ( ) re-emerge at some point, but only once the Toom and Jag are done and gone. Cheers, WV908

  13. Hi @bentwaters81tfw I tend not to use the railcam info - the only Gresley Pacific currently at Bury is Scotman, and she's in the ELR running shed, not Riley's at Heywood. Quite how Railcam got it so wrong I don't know. They had the locations of LSL's ex-EMR HST power cars wrong last week too. Cheers, WV908

  15. Hi @Rich51 Italeri has already re-issued the ex-Fujimi FG.1 and, bar decals the only major difference between the kits are the tailplanes - FG.1 slotted, FGR.2 solid. As luck would have it, I have a set of solid tailplanes and need a set of slatted for an F-4E. If you end up buying the Italeri FG.1 and want to swap the parts, please let me know Cheers, WV908 EDIT: As @71chally points out the weapons and stores are different, but I don't know what is / isn't included with each kit

  17. @Simon V This is not the WNW kit - the most obvious item (bar the lack of stressed skin) being the horrible pilot's pedestal block. I'm halfway through correcting this on my first Lanc and I may be tempted to pick this up, what with having the spare clear fuselage - I could build one set of wings and one tail but have two fuselages and swap my model of PA474 between it's Leader and Phantom iterations!   20. I'd like to throw the F7F Tigercat into the ring. Yes, HPH did it in resin but it's Two Hundred and Thirty smackeroonies for a WWII twin. If HKM can push one out for the same price as the Meteor then I think they could be on to a winner. Alternate suggestions; ME410 (Ooh HPH do this one too - 270 euros!) Hawker Sea Fury!....Yes please!   21. I am hoping for sub £200 for this one. With the exception of the Lanc which was a one-off as the real things hold a special place in my heart, £200 is my absolute limit for any kit. IFA Buccaneer was £180 and the Jetmads Viggen will just scratch in at £195 posted - but when Tamiya and Revell Phantoms can be bagged for around the £40 mark to be converted, my tolerance for the price of a new 1/32 Phantom is significantly lower. Saying all of this, the cost of the Italeri Tornado GR.4 is still unknown and I'd like a couple of those... I think for WW.2 that a B-26 is a good bet, even if others have said it's not that. A nice line of 1/32 Griffon Spitfires would go down a treat though! Cheers, WV908

  23. @fightersweep It would stop me in my tracks too - I already have the HK Lanc so I'd rather spend that money on a B-17 instead. Funnily enough that Varsity I sold you is funding the kit and aftermarket for my 1/32 Brit Phantom! Cheers, WV908
  24. I'll be very happy to see the 1/32 Brit Phantoms appear, but wasn't there a price of £325 waved about a while back? I've just bought a Tamiya 1/32 F-4J at a very good price to convert, so part of me is hoping that this announcement isn't the Phantom. Saying that though - there should be aftermarket decal sheets-a-plenty if this is the Phantom so I'll be more than happy either way! Cheers, WV908
