  1. The 3 variants of engine positioning looks rather splendid! Definately going to get this kit.
  2. I was impressed with the quality of his performances, and there were a few, through Brit television. Sapphire & Steel (with Joanna Lumley) was a favourite. R.i.P.
  3. I've discovered (re-discovered?) Cory's London show and am still amazed by the performance. From a huch heavier style of musical background (Stone Sour, Slipknot), his vocal abilities are phenominal, and the pure emotion that gets invested in each song... well... Then, we have the British crowd! Since it's at the intimate setting of NE London's KOKO venue, the interactions are fantastic! An artist with the entire venue in the palm of his hand, willing to sing and enjoy the evening 150%! Songs from everywhere, REM, CCR, Spongebob Squarepants (Yes, it's superb!) and onto a band only known by 4 people in the theatre - of which 2 are the musicians! Speaking of ... Tooch! What a guitarist and partner in crime for this show. Frikkin' amazing work! If you have an idea of Cory's background, the emotions cut deep... as does the comedy / banter throughout the show. Enjoy!
  4. Hi Steve, I bought one a few years back from Noel Leeming called the "endeavour" and proceeded to scan Dads photos. (Average quality of resulting image...) I see Jaycar has similar versions https://www.jaycar.co.nz/usb-slide-film-scanner/p/XC4881 Perhaps JB Hi-Fi? or other electrical suppliers. Photo Warehouse?
  5. A couple of good mates have been heavy indulgers, including one who was the NZ navy's "biggest drinker" & the other an AA member since the 80's. Some words of wisdom from one, "You are never an ex-drinker, you are only in remission". Re-starting on the booze can happen all to easily and dedicated hard work is required to avoid falling back into old habits. Respect to those who have altered the pathway of their life for the better.
  6. I've finally managed to log in after 4 days. Each time the site has simply reverted to the homepage (without actually logging me in). But no 500 screens though!
  7. 1-ball games? No thanks. I'll happily watch paint dry instead.

  11. unbroken by Bletchley Park (apologies for my absence for a few days... a quick trip to do some skiing while the mountain is good! Right, back to normal madness...)
  12. of "Cute" german shepards I'm informed that MRE actually stands for "Meals Rejected by Ethiopians"
  13. by scattering lego everywhere (I believe lego blocks on floors has been banned by the Geneva convention, as being "too cruel & inhumane")...
  14. Cheers! Bottom's up, and ... (I'll set them up, you hit them out of the park!)
  15. but minature, bloated, elves
  16. The relatively systemic approach to using the word "accident" begins the mindset... The US Navy takes the approch of "Mishap" investigation, as an "accident" implies that something has just dropped down from a cloud, out of nowhere. A Mishap takes the approach that it was entirely preventable "at some stage" and was the result of training, weather planning, human error, computer systems programming, etc, etc. Costly mistakes.
