Here in the Banana Republic, we do not have compulsory car/vehicle insurance. Making it compulsory simply aids the insurance companies to hold everyone to ransom, since you "require" it. Hopefully sodium-ion battery technology arrives soon. It's promising and certainly will not do the damage to the planet that lithium has done. I read a superb university paper quite some years back, which calculated that an H2 Hummer was better for the planet than a prius.

Know them well... Even had The Barking Spiders album, some years ago. Anyway, I'm now adding to my list, Van Halen - 5150.

Pondering a few albums recently and I'll add to my list: Older - George Michael. Hard Promises - Tom Petty. I should Coco- Supergrass. (in fact, most SG albums meet the description!) Also a previous member put Violator - Depeche Mode on the list (quite rightly) and I'd add Ultra to the list as well.

Well, the rest of the order arrived, thankfully not taking another 1/2 a month as originally informed! After installing the new LED bits into the mini-maglite... I believe I should have just binned the old one and purchased a new "proper" LED one instead. Oh well, live and learn.

Well... I'm sitting with a newly installed bulb (if it is indeed such a thing?) and illuminating the neighbour's roofs down the road. 9 days instead of 14 to arrive - BUT only half of the order though. This came from the UK, but was ordered from an american location "free shipping" (only in the USA presumably).

Current update... The order has been split in two (as far as I can tell) with one part arriving a day earlier... the other part arriving a month later! Yet both have been "dispatched". I'm guessing that the slower part of the order is being smuggled across borders in the amazon CEO's hand luggage.
