Sorry about the OOT, but the Tu-95 is one of Titan Models next year projects... Back to topic: my long stagnating Shackleton is getting back on the bench... And I'm taking lots of notes. S.

The main wheel is done. As always, if anybody can point me to bits I could have done wrong, please do. To be continued... S.- 25 replies

Boeing B-52D Stratofortress - 1/48 - Sanger - 3D parts

I made the bulge on the wheel: The method is detailed there: And then I made the interior of the wheel, which is once again hurting donkeys. I still have to do the tyre tread. TBC, S.- 25 replies

Hi, I've just tried a method, but I'm not quite satisfied. This is the wheel, and I prepared a sketch for removing where the flattened portion will be: Portion removed: Then I drew the lower flattened section of the tyre. And a couple of rails for the loft to come: And then the loft itself: I find the result in the meh- range. And this works rather well with smooth tyres. For a diamond-pattern tyre, you can forget it. There's a way using a Fusion generated stl file with Blender, but I haven't tried it so far. Edit : I added a couple of rails for the loft, and it's much better IMHO: S.

Is this what's called a straw man fallacy, or does it suspiciously look like it? S. -

TBH, I don't know. I removed it and did it again, and then it was OK. Sorry I can't help you on that topic... S.

It seems my rear revolution was deeply flawed. I redid the sketch and the revolution (and all the bits and bobs that go on it), and everythng was fine again.

It says "Echec du calcul - Echec de la création de l'objet" Compute Failed - Failed creating object. I'll try the extrusion. S.

Ian, The plate does meet the tank. S.

No, you can only create a sketch on a flat surface.

Hi, I'm trying to create a protruding plate on my Tornado tank (the blue bit in the pic below): I made a body (sketch, extrusion) that I moved in place. And for reasons I can't fathom, I can't combine the two bodies in one. Any idea? TIA, S.

Super Mystère B2 SMB2 Azur 1/48 -finished
Sebastien replied to exdraken's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Hi Colin, It hadn't been ignored so far in this scale, but it would have been better if it had... FM released it. Cheers, S. -
Hi, As I'm trying to upgrade a bit my Sanger B-52s, I'm looking for pictures of the inner side of the wheel. I have quite a few B-52 wheel pictures, but none I can use to design that side of the wheel. TIA S. (also an Alice Cooper fan)

I received the printer today, but I'm afraid the touchscreen is fried.

I think it's not too bad... I've made the NACA scoops the way Nick told me, and it's waaaaaaaaaaaay simpler than anything I could have done on my own. So here it is: Edit: the pitot inside the ntake went AWOL when I corrected the mlistakes I wrote I'd live with (spoiler alert: I didn't). I redid it. I'm going to split it in printable parts. Please please please, before I start burning resin (yes, I know), if you see problems with the shapes, the lines, whatever, tell me! To be concluded soon (I hope).

Well, it should arrive tomorrow. Me very happy.

I contacted Elegoo France through their chat. I told them that according to their site, my order would be sent at the end of October, and that if I placed an order at Amazon I would get it at the end of the week. 10 minutes later, I had a parcel coming via TNT. Me happy.

Hasegawa 1:48 Royal Navy FG.1 Phantom II
Sebastien replied to Windz's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Thanks for your answer. I had read somewhere the Aires nozzles were a bit small in diameter. I'll give them a try (I have a couple or three British Phantoms to build). S.
