I've corrected the nacelle a bit, i just need to do the rear end.
If you see any mistake, could you please point them?
I'm not quite satisfied with the panel lines rearwards of the wheel well, I'm going to redo them.
TIA,
Sébastien

Well, it sure seems they were:

I think I'm not that far away from the correct shape.
Could I have your opinion?

I have started drawing the part, but I'll happily take whatever you can send my way.
Thanks a lot!

That does help.
Thank you very much!

Hi,
I am designing engine nacelles for the 1/48 Sanger Shackletons.
I think I have nailed the engine itself pretty good, as well as the outer engine nacelle and the inner nacelle for the taildraggers.
The MR3 nacelle is rather different, and I have trouble figuring its shape.
Could anyone near a real Shackleton MR3 take a picture of the inner nacelle from the front (ideally levell with the lower lip of the cowling)?
Or could anyone near a Revell MR3 do the same thing with their model?
Thanks,
Sébastien

The Titan B-2 looks impressive, but for me, I’m into airlifters and need something to go with my Herc… (even if 50% bigger!)
It wasn't a typo, I really meant Titan's C-17...

If I buy one, at least I'll have something to live out of after my girlfriend evicts me.
You'll be better off with the projected 1/48 Titan Models one, then...

This just crossed my mind, how many base layers are you printing, and do you have transition layers?
Hi,
I have 10 base layers and ten transition layers.

Hi,
Thanks to all.
I'll try reducing the support size, as well as the exposure time for the bottom layers.
To be continued,

The final result of yesterday's print:

@PeteH1969 I rub the plate with IPA , and dry the plate before doing a new print.
@Jo NZ, I changed the printer firmware before I changed the screen.

Pete,
The support base is peppered with 2 mm diametre holes.

Hi,
QuoteDid you re-tram ('level') your build plate after replacing the screen and nFEP?
I did it twice.
QuoteWhat processing software are you using?
Lychee, Chitubox ?
I use Voxeldance Tango (I used it before my problems, and I have used files made with it to print the parts you see).

I have made a set of engines for Sanger Shackleton.
I used to print 2 engines and the outer nacelles in one go.
I've changed the LCD screen (it died on me unexpectedly) and the nFEP film.
And I get that:
Same resin, same heater setting, same parameters...
What did I do wrong this time ?
TIA,

So far, HK Models made only 2 or 4-engine aircraft kits (Do 335 has 2 engines). Not saying they can't make single-engine one but it didn't attract them before and there are still many 2/4-engine subjects to do. I'd put my 2 pennies on 1/32 Beaufighter.
The Stranraer is in theme.

Clearly it will be a 1/48 Sunderland, There is no need for any further conjecture.
You Philistine you.
It will be a 1/48 Stranraer.
And this is not a wish. It's a fact.
S., still busy with that bloody Shackleton engine nacelle

I like A-10s, but don't know a great deal about them. Could an A-10A kit follow this boxing, or be created from this kit?
An A-10A is supposed to be released after that one IIRC.

I've decided to use the squishy thing between my ears for a change.
I have baroque results when I print the nacelle without the gear doors.
So I made a chamfer around the gear doors (to ease the separation between the doors and the nacelle) and combined them to the nacelle.
This should work much better...

Hi,
Thanks to both.
There's no bulkhead.
I've added support, it's in the printer right now.
