Pretty much out of the box. Didn’t weather this one, as pictures show clean aircraft.

Hi all, it’s the Airfix 1/48 kit. The exhausts are Rexx. I also used Eduard seat belts and instrument panel.
And yes the pilot got fined, lol. But he thought it looked cool… -
Typical Airfix kit. Reasonable fit, with a couple of quirks, deep and wide panel lines and good decals.
overall a good kit, worth building.

I always thought the pointy wing Spitfires looked a bit weird. Enough motivation to build one. This build was used as a weathering exercise. Some techniques came up ok, and I’ll use them again, some were not so very successful. I used Montex masks, which worked perfectly. The camouflage scheme is also a little different. I did as much research as I could on the colours, but in the end I went with the description of someone whose granddad repainted them locally when they arrived in the east. Chocolate brown and dark green, possibly locally sourced is what he mentioned. I might be totally wrong, but there you go.

Amongst the best 1/72 Mustangs I have seen so far. Very well done!

Did they break? I tried using the box decals for my Mustang III from Tamiya, and they broke when I tried to move them from the paper. Luckily I had spares too.
Yep, and the roundels just wouldn’t settle. Had to get them off and respray.

Another brilliant kit from WNW. The wings would have made it way to big, so I decided to display them without. The technician is gobbled together from CSM figures. Remove part of the side to display that beautiful interior. Found the nano led online, kinda makes it a bit different. Bit of scratch building here and there and a ton of rigging.

Absolutely fabulous build. I do build 1/32 WWI, but this model…inspirational.

I assume this is the Tamiya Kit. I have this one in the stash but I have built the Tamiya 1/72 and I agree it's awesome.
Your finish is very nice & love natural metal finished Tony's with home defence bands. Very well done
Yep it's the Tamiya kit, thanks

I am not a fan of 144, but this build is absolutely stunning for such a small model

Love job on a favourite aircraft. Deere of course is one of New Zealand's most famous sons & by all accounts a great chap as well as a doughty fighter pilot & accomplished leader of men. You've done a super job on this. Which one of the nine was it?
Steve
Thanks Steve, it’s the one when he hadn’t realised that he was going to number them😉

Anyone building 1/72 byplanes is to be congratulated. This one looks nice in its Estonian color scheme.
