Thanks Chris,
The paint is ALCLAD II Polished Aluminium sprayed over a base coat of Tamiya gloss black from the aerosol can. The white is from Floquil. Once painted, I riveted the entire airframe using one of my Rosie Riveter tools.
Cheers,
Mark
Hey Bruce,
Nice one as usual. Yep, unlike me you got the gear doors on the right way. But...unlike you, I got my windscreen on the right way...first time

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the feedback on the Sea Fury.
Yep, you got it...it's JB alright. It was the Melbourne, I just checked my logbook the date was 14 Aug 07, only missed you by a few weeks then. No, not an S-70, rather an AS350BA Squirrel. I have a few other pics if you are interested, just PM me an email address.
Cheers,
Mark
Thanks for taking the time to respond. The paint is XTRAcrylix. Yes, I got the roundels on the correct way in all positions...it goes with the territory when you fly aircraft with the same national markings, I'd be very embarrassed if I blew that one.
Here's a shot of me at 'work'...i'm on the right.
Doh...thanks Neil. You'd think that a guy that flies in a squadron that once flew Sea Furies would sort those sorts of details out wouldn't you? :shithappens: I'll correct them in the morning.
Cheers,
Mark
Hi Guys,
Here is one I started a few days ago and finished earlier today . Ultracast seat, XTRAcrylix paint, a mix of decals and Cooper Details wheels....oh...and a Squadron canopy...and a scratchbuilt bulkhead and headrest behind the seat.
Cheers,
Mark
I've heard on the grapevine that the 1/32 HC kit is not 'that flash'...I truly hope that this is NOT the case. I have also heard that there will be a Trumpeter 1/48 Sea Fury before the end of this year. Fingers crossed.
Cheers,
Mark
It's pretty straight forwards actually. It's just a wash. I use acrylic paint, some use oil paints...I beleive there is a guy on the site that seels the wash pre made. Have a look around this site...I think his name is Phil Florey.
Cheers,
Mark
Hi Guys,
This is my first post here although I have been visiting for a while and admiring the fantastic work. Anyway, I finished this one a couple of days ago, I hope you like it.
Cheers,
Mark
