  1. Thank you for the video. It's been really helpful. Cheers, Rodders.
  2. Hi All, I've done a couple of posts about the Dragon Panzer 2 with interior i need to start. Everyone has been very helpful. Reading through the instructions there doesn't seem to be any paint codes for any of the equipment, etc just a couple of colours for the big items. I've never done a Dragon kit before and although i've done German armour i'm up with colours for the infantry equipment or indeed anything. I've searched for colours of the gearbox which says is black for instance but every photo i've found shows it different colours. I'm slowly going off the project. Can anyone help maybe where i can search for good photos. Thanks for any help. Cheers, Rodders.
  3. thanks for the help again. I have the paint in the stash so will have a look, Cheers, Rodders.
  4. Hi again, I've been trying to get the colour that's similar to RAL7033 but can't find it. Can anyone help with a paint reference please, Thanks, Rodders.

  7. Hi All, Could i ask if the panzer 2 interior was in Cremeweiss the sort of off white yellow colour or was it only later tanks that were painted this colour. Thanks for any help, Cheers, Rodders.
  8. Hi All, After doing some German armour I wanted to do another Academy M3 Stuart with interior though the Airfix boxing. One thing i'm trying to find is a No.19 radio set as the one in the kit is the American type. Does anyone know where i can get one from as they don't seem to be available anymore. I found two companies that did them but they don't seem to do them any more and are abroad which i don't like doing as i've had problems before. Thanks for any help, Rodders.
  9. Hi, I'm going to try to do some 35th Dragon kits(Panzer 2a with interior and Panzer 4d 3 in one kit) but have not got much reference. I was looking at the Tankcraft books but have never seen one in the flesh so to speak. Just wondered what people's views are on Tankcraft books or indeed can anyone suggest good references for said armour. Thanks for any help. Cheers, Rodders
  10. Thanks so much for the information. I checked the FS number and it cross references to gunze H307 or Humbrol's paint chart Tamiya XF-53(though it says 26320 which i think means semi gloss). Thanks for the other help too. Much appreciated. Cheers, Rodders.
  11. Can anyone help please with above question. Thanks, Rodders.
  12. Hi All, Could i ask if anyone knows what colour to paint the interior of the NH90 TTH helicopter. I have the Revell 72nd version which gives a paint mix but am no good at mixing paint. Can anyone help with an FS number or any manufacturers recommendations. Thanks, Rodders.
  13. Hi All, You know when you buy a model thinking it will be a great build. Well....i was looking in the stash again and i have the Dragon 1/35th panzer 2a kit 6687 with interior. It looks nice and detailed but i was watching a you tube video admittedly the B model where the modeller says that the instructions miss things out but on the bottom of the box it shows the options. Has anyone ever built this as i feel a bit intimidated. Has anyone any advice, Cheers, Rodders.
  14. Hi, Yes if Revell did give mixes it would be nice to put FS/RAL numbers there as well. Knowing they're standard NATO colours is a great help, thanks. I'll look into getting some as i usually build WW2 stuff and tanks. Cheers, Rodders.
  15. Thanks for the advice. I'll have a look at your recommendation, Cheers, Rodders.
  16. Hi, That looks really nice. I'm going to investigate more on the colours. I've got some colour charts now, Cheers, Rodders.
  17. Thanks guys for the help. I'll have a look, Cheers, Rodders.
  18. Hi All, I know this post was a long time ago. I actually put this model back in the stash but took it out again last week. The reason i put it aside and put me off was the Revell paint system. I don't use Revell paints and i'm not good at mixing paints. I've been searching to see if i can find a way of just using one colour rather than mixing. I suppose i'm asking if anyone can give advice on the fs colours for all the revell mixes. I use Tamiya, vallejo and real colours. Can anyone help, Cheers, Rodders.
  19. Hi, Managed to get the Trumpeter chaly 2 so will use on of the decals options from that, Cheers, Rodders.
  20. Hi All, I've lost the canopy sprue of the Airfix 72nd scale Eurofighter kit a04036. I've contacted Airfix spares but they can't help. Can anyone help with any ideas. i think there's a replacement vacform canopy for the Revell kit but have no idea if it will fit. Thanks, Rodders. I,ve tried to search for the Pavla vac form for the Revell kit but no joy. Would anyone possibly have the spare rear section of the single seater Revell kit as i have the front bit from a kit that got scrapped which fits ok but the rear bit unfortunately got trod on in-advertantly Thanks again
  21. Thanks for the reply. I don't know much about modern armour as i usually build WW2 stuff. That really helps, cheers, Rodders.
  22. Hi, Thanks for the reply. Sorry, i should of said one without the BEMA but i think after a bit of research does it just attach when needed? i'm not sure, Thanks for the help, Rodders.
  23. Hi All, I've got the Dragon 72nd scale Challenger 2 with the BEMA dozer on it. I've done a bit of searching for some decals to do a standard tank but can't find any. Does anyone know where i can get some, Cheers, Rodders.
  24. Thanks Alan for the tip. I only use acrylics or lacquers. Also, I use Tamiya varnishes usually with acrylic thinners as i do oil weathering, Cheers, Rodders.
  25. Hi All, I'm building the Airfix 32nd scale Fiesta rally car in black. It's the first car i've built in years(i've done one other, a fujimi Escort mk 1 an awful long time ago). I wanted to ask what varnish to use on the interior as there are various matt and satin components. Also, as there are a lot of decals i usually gloss varnish first. Then after decal application gloss varnish again. Would it be then best to give it a matt or satin varnish to keep it looking somewhere realistic. I hope this isn't a stupid question, Cheers, Rodders.
