  1. Pretty much that and frying the eggs on the concrete
  2. Merry Christmas from down under Julian! it was a balmy 38 degrees here-and whacky us had a roast turkey! Go figure!
  3. Lovely work Steve currently building this one myself, so watching yours with interest
  4. Hi Gioca Merit already have a Fokker Dr 1 in 1/24 that they've released this year http://merit-intl.com/meritnew/index.php?dest=products&sku=MIL-62403 and even have a SE5 as well in 1/24 http://merit-intl.com/meritnew/index.php?dest=products&sku=MIL-62402 and both may well find their way into my stash... along with the 1/24 P47, but that's off topic looking back on my own predictions for Airfix's next 1/24, I had thought a re-tooled Hurricane or a Hawker Sea fury likely, but the more I think about it the more I think it will be a P40! Especially given the fact it's getting the 1/48 treatment
  5. a most enjoyable build to watch Julian... and what will the next gem be i wonder?
  6. Their next 1/24th superkit release perhaps? A new tool Hurricane to the same standard as the Tiffy?
  7. One kit I'd like to add to the (wish) list of new tools by Airfix is a 1/72 Supermarine Walrus done to same level of quality as their spiffy Swordfish kit.
  8. Awesome Matt! Love the name too: Pulverizer IV! Please post a link to the RFI post when you make it and also to the CAR DOOR version WIP when you start that... Would love to break mine out of the stash, but would get lost in all the builds I have going on at the mo Russ
  9. Could well be that a QE model will be Airfix's big announcement-or something 1/24
  10. Sorry to be a downer, but Airfix have already said, that "unless they can walk on it, it won't happen" in reference to ships... However, there's much more chance of Trumpy or Merit having a go at Ark Royal IV so never say never As for the QE class, I'd say there's a good chance of Airfix adding them to their line up to complement their other recent 1/350 ship releases... but not until after trials are completed...
  11. ok i'll play too-all new tooling of the following Near term: Sopwith Camel 1/72 Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5 1/72 Buccanneer 1/72 F4-Phantom 1/72 Hawker Tempest 1/72 Hawker Sea Fury 1/72 Me262 1/72 Mid term: Hawker Hunter 1/48 (Recently their LIDAR Scanner was seen nearby the example at Duxford) Junkers 88 1/72 Wellington 1/72 Long term: HMS Queen Elizabeth class (both ships) 1/350 Hawker Sea Fury 1/24
  12. mmm! Such a great rendition of a good looking plane! Nice work Matt
  13. Most inspiring! I still keep eyeing the Tiffy lurking in my stash
  14. I've only got four words to say about how good the Zwarte Boer sounds, Julian: Nom Nom Nom Nom! The build's looking pretty tasty too! But not in the eating kinda way
  15. It looks like a very good book, Keith. Might need to try to get my hands on that one. Good to hear things are moving along again. I've gotten stuck in horror movie called 'night of the pom pom' on my build... oh well. I'll get there eventually
  16. Great to see you back on this one, Keith is the top drawing book 1/350 scale?
  17. Very nice Bernd! Thanks for sharing this great build!
