  1. "She thought it was a snake so she hit it with a rake and now it's only 5 foot 4..............................Ah, brings back happy memories No gauntlet chucking, though judging by Dan and Etienne's builds it would be an interesting match, might even warrant an unofficial Challenger challenge, wouldn't mind joining in myself.............................
  2. I am sure Dan could provide lots of information regarding the Relevant Tanks used by the British forces in Germany Etienne, glad to hear there are no challenges being handed out, just talk about Challengers
  3. Nice one Lloyd, unusual things the Israeli's build and customize. Interesting though
  4. Looks rather good standing at a slightly arrogant angle, but still no reason to press enter 3 times Kev Do you know the Judge Dread song about "Trench Town Billy"?
  5. Thanks Dan, Couldn't let that one go The Challie looks quite interesting, will need a bit more TLC than the TAMITAKOMENGRYE offerings that we are slowly getting spoiled by but should be a nice counterpart to the Abrams.
  6. 25/11 update. Some goodies arrived from Germany, Etienne's Challenger builds had me drooling over Challengers so I had to have one at least. I bought some WW I Colors in preparation for a WNW build pretty soon (what was PC 12 used for? Would appear to be a naval dope but can't work out what it was used to dope ). The wash and streaking effects AK liquids are excellent stuff for modern US armor builds. Started with decalling the Abrams. Yes, I know, Gremlin shouldn't be on this barrel but how could I resist using it? Also started using the AK wash on the build and am filling the bustle. P.s. the wonky decal on the gunners primary sight has been removed and will be replaced (how could I have missed that )
  7. "Cute and KV-2" go together like "cuddly and rabid pit bull". It's another enjoyable build though and the super detailing gives it an extra boost.
  8. Nice to see this build again Kev, lovely job you did here!
  9. Only a mother could love this unusual little vehicle. You did an excellent job, nice weathering.
  10. Looking good Reilly, nice and neat. I had more or less the same dilemma with this model: interior detail is excellent but you will not see much of the work you put into it once it's sealed up.
  11. Hi Lloyd, yes, you are spot on here. The deflector will be made suitably bashed up and rusty when I get around to painting it. Real life has been screeching for attention recently so as I mentioned to Francis, progress is as fast as a geriatric snail at the moment ................................................................................................
  12. Thank you Francis, progress is rather slow here at the moment, hope to make some progress this weekend
  13. Always interesting to see something unusual. Nice model, nice choice
  14. That's a hard worked Mathilda you have created Cesar, looks great.
  15. Really amazing to see those plans you worked out being scratch built Stefan,
  16. The Vallejo Israeli sand grey acrylic primer I use seems to match up better with the Tamiya and the AK "Sinai grey since 1990" colors, darker and less brownish than the other AK and the Mig offerings, interesting comparisons though.
  17. Thanks Chris, Getting there now, turret needs some weathering and the bustle needs filling
  18. Thanks Keith, Rye Field provide two sprues of transparencies: one the normal clear glass version and one tinted green. Looks quite good with the green tinted shields IMHO,
  19. Looks excellent Lloyd, a really agressive looking tank!
  20. Very nice, that is one heck of a "fowling piece " the Russians fitted to that turret Looks good Lloyd, a very tempting model, detailing is amazing IMHO.
