  1. Brilliant work, love a tiny plane! They are excellent sir. The aircraft itself looks like a Saab Tunnan that’s run into a wall!
  2. Thanks sir. yes, that’s the one. It’s actually a pretty nice and the decals are excellent. I just mucked up the painting, still getting used to an airbrush. The fuselage will need some warping back into shape and the main wheel oleos are a little weak, but that’s only because they are to scale! Good luck, I would love to see your results!
  3. Un-lovely....hush your mouth 🤣, ha ha. Yes, brave men and women on dangerous, spooky missions. I really respect the missions these aircraft did and still do. It’s what makes me like to see and then build them.
  4. Hi Apologies, probably boring you with these, but here is another lockdown build, though this one was started a while ago but added to the shelf of doom as I am unused to resin. It was my first full resin kit.....I really do prefer plastic (I admit it, I am an assembler, not a true modeller, ha). Anyway, in the spirit of just getting it done, I finished it as best I could. It’s in the cabinet now....at the back . I do remember having great difficulty in finding this kit, but snaffled one a few years ago (I needed it for my ‘Mildenhall Airshow’ Build theme) (apologies to all you proper resin builders.....you may want to look away now)
  5. Thanks guys. since seeing a picture of a really war-like weathered B1 in flight, I thought it looked really cool and wanted to give it a go. It looks a little green on the picture, but I promise you it really is brown :)! Ha
  6. Thanks again everyone. R.A.Y, I too have 1/72 version (along with the other versions.....going to need a bigger boat). I would love to build it one day. Seeing them last year on a day trip to Mildenhall was such a motivation to get one built, I just love 1:144 though! Richard E, I think your right, I could be tempted to try that conversion.
  7. Brilliant! Great build there. Good skills.
  8. Thanks Binbrook i just hope the RC-135U comes out soon, ha.
  9. Thanks chaps. The main kit is ok, undercarriage is pretty flimsy. The conversion parts were ok, but the noise took a lot of filler to get attached and I think it’s nose is still pointing up too much. The issues though I think were of my own doing and lack of experience at such things. The engine pylon to wing fit as also difficult, but again, anyone with a bit of experience probably would not have had these issues.
  10. Thank you sir, It was probably the best kit I have ever built, in regards ease of construction.
  11. 1/144 RC-135 conversion (minicraft and welsh models) sorry to post twice, but just worked out how to add pics from my iPad! This is another Lock down build, first proper attempt at a conversion....not a fan as my skills aren’t really up to it; but I love the Rivetjoint, so I am happy to have it completed for my modern (can a sneaky KC-135 really be considered modern) USAF collection. Anyway, kit was ok, resin bits ok too, never really used it before but just glad I could do this aircraft! Just managed to complete the AEW Shackleton too, which was all resin....give me plastic any day. Thanks
  12. Academy 1/144 B-1b, built during lockdown. I wanted to try a weathered look, as it would have been during ops. First attempt at such a thing with an airbrush. The kit was truly excellent, a pleasure to build and complete (a rarity to complete a kit for me, but have managed a few builds and even a few of the shelf of doom). started and finished a few weeks ago in lockdown. thanks for looking Hope your all well Tim
  13. Great idea to make the platz kit a GAF version! Really like this, good stuff.
  14. Stunning build! A credit to an amazing aircraft. Great skills!
  15. Wow, what a finish and some of the most realistic weathering I’ve seen! Thanks for sharing.
  16. I would love too, but unfortunately I live just outside Exeter. I can only visit the museum when I am visiting my parents. I do try to go every time I see them though!
  17. Awesome little build. Looks amazing. I’ve done a couple of these and they are great little kits in my preferred scale.
  18. Hi I really love both your builds. The two blue phantoms are amongst my favourite aircraft, not just because they are RAF Phantoms so obviously really cool, but of the memories they represent. Seeing them at the air tattoo that year, in what was a very special show! Wish I appreciated it more then! Anyway, I was lucky enough to see this one very recently at Tangmere when I went to visit my parents who only live around the corner! (As an added bonus, it’s the actual airframe I performed my passing out parade in front of at RAF Halton in what seems another life (it was a plain old grey one then). anyway, thanks for sharing, great builds.
