  1. Thank you for the explanation Geoff. That proves my thoughts I had while looking at the parts. So I either try to work with whats provided or I ask at Welsh Models for a set. If nothing of that works out,I just build another GE engined MD-11 and skip the LTU version. Best wishes Alex
  2. Thank you very much Stefan PM sent. Alex
  3. Thank you very much Dave. I will try that.๐Ÿ‘
  4. Hi all, I need a little help. Recently I bought the MikroMir MD-11 kit (LTU) This kit should have had PW4000 engines, unfortunately there must have been a mistake while packing and in my example is the sprue for the GE engine version. I spent quite some time looking for an available replacement set but to no avail. The only ones I came across are those from DRUZ on ebay but I cant buy them for known reasons. Are there any other options available or is there a way to get those DRUZ engines through other ways ? Thanks in advance for the help. Alex
  5. Very interestig form of modelling. I never thought cardmodels could look so convincing. You did a fabulous job on those, really impressive.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Thanks for sharing Alex
  6. Very neat build of the good old Revell A320. It was really time, that Revell stopped production of that kit,it became quite awful qualitywise. A superb result and a nice subject. Aegean is a frequent visitor to our local airport,so its nice to see it in modelform.๐Ÿ‘ Thanks for sharing Alex
  7. A superbly finished Connie, Einar. The Iberia livery is also very attractive. Compared to the Revell kit,Minicrafts Connie is simpler in detail but still builds up very nice as you have proven here. I have one of those in my stash, although with Air India decals. Thanks for sharing Alex
  8. Very neat and beautiful build. I own 2 of the original Revell releases, one built and one still in its original packing. Its ,despite its age, still very much worth building and shapewise very well depicted. I was happy to see it rereleased by Atlantis Thanks for sharing Alex
  9. Manificent build. The kit may be old but with some care and patience,it still builds up well as you have proven. I have quite a stash of this kit,as I have good memories flying with the Twin Otter in Kenya in the 90s,I am a bit partial with the Twin Otter Thanks for sharing Alex
  10. Superb build. If not for their interesting subjects,I would never buy another MACH 2 kit. Magnificent result out of a less than desireable kit Thanks for sharing
  11. Great result with the new livery, which I find quite funny. Looks like a lollipop๐Ÿ˜‰ I saw that particular one frequently flying over our place, certainly cant be mistaken for anything else... Thank you for the hint about the Nazca decals.I had plans to do a Condor Airbus in that livery I hope some other manufacturer will also come up with this scheme. Thanks for sharing Alex
  12. A real beauty. I never saw that livery before, but sure is very attractive. Superb result on that paintjob. I tried vinil once...with rather sorry results,so hats off for such a great paintjob Thanks for sharing Alex
  13. Welcome to the forum. A very nice entry with your A300. The Airfix kit is old but still worth building. A nice tribute to those on board the unlucky flight. Thanks for sharing Alex
  14. Very neat Dreamliner Einar. I very much like the TUI wavy scheme but stayed away from doing it because of its difficulty to achieve a symetrical paintjob. You nailed it to perfection. Might be tempted to try and do a 757 in that livery now...๐Ÿ˜Š Thanks for sharing Alex
  15. Great collection of 727s. Those liveries really suits the 727. Superb photography, looks like the real thing. Alex
  16. These are 2 absolutely beautiful looking 747s. As the 747 is my favourite aircraft I must say that you have done an awesome work on those and did the queen of the skies full justice. The decals are superb too. Such a pity that BA did not choose the 747-8,they would have looked splendid in BA livery It was very interesting to follow the build and well worth the wait for their roll-out. Thanks for sharing Alex
  17. For my Revell DC-10 build,I corrected the kits parts as good as possible. It was my first attempt on this kit. I used the same method again on a KC-10 from Revell. I dont have pictures of that one as it went straight to a collector. If you are using window decals, this should work. I would recommend window decals anyway as the passenger windows on the kit have the wrong shape, sit a tad low and are too big. For the correction,I removed half of the rear (big) cockpit windows and then glued the clear part in place.By trimming the window,it will sit further back. The gap that will appear in front can be filled with pieces of plasticard, then putty. After enough drying time, the nose shape can be sanded out.The cockpit window decal can then, after painting,be applied about 1mm higher than the original clear part. Thats how I did my correction work on the kit. Of course,a resin replacement part is the easier solution. Here my Revell DC-10 Alex
  18. Eastern Express announced a A330NEO some time ago. I just have no idea how to get EE kits at the moment for well known reasons๐Ÿ˜ณ
  19. Beautiful Constellation. As a saying goes..."all good things need time"...it certainly paid off in full. Thanks for sharing Alex
  20. Nice ,clean build of the Dreamliner. I have the same kit in my stash...somewhere๐Ÿ˜Š I flew once on a Dreamliner,it was quite nice but I still prefer the 777 Thanks for sharing, Alex
  21. Most likely then Virgin Atlantic must have been a 747-100 / 200
  22. Very attractive build and a interesting story behind the original. Never saw a built Indian Airlines Airbus, looks very neat. I remember that Indian Airlines was also the only airline who had their A320s fitted with 4- wheel landing gears,so they could operate from smaller airfields The Airfix A300 is one of their best airliner kits, would be nice to see it rereleased in their vintage classics range. Thanks for sharing Alex
  23. Welcome on BM What an impressive entry to the forum, that 737 looks just awesome, hard to believe this is 1/400,so an extra ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ from me. Hope to see more of your work here. Thanks for sharing Alex
