  1. It looks sort of...off scale, if it's 1:200...
  2. Is that -200 in 1:200 or 1:144? The fuselage looks wider than the Kulula jet and the whole plane looks too long to be in the same scale as the -800...
  3. Very well built - I particularly like the S7 livery, as I see it very often in Moscow. The A319 wears it very well.
  4. What are those instructions trying to say? Is that a T-tail A320?
  5. That last photo gives me warm fuzzy feeling - I'm...let's just say I'm a rather big fan of Douglas propliners.
  6. Welcome, Alexey! I'll be happy to allow the Tu-4. I think I'll add a rule saying that stolen/reverse-engineered designs will also be allowed. By the way, does anyone know if there's a kit of the Shanghai Y-10 available anywhere?
  7. I suppose building that Shuttle Carrier Boeing 747 with a Rockwell-Boeing Orbiter mounted on it would be a Boeing double whammy, Ray!
  8. That's beautiful. At €49, would you say the AA's BAC 1-11 is a sound investment? It looks amazing from where I'm sitting...
  9. Is this in 1:144 or one of Heller's weird scales? The BUFF is always there, watching, daring you to build it...will you be brave enough to accept the challenge? (Coming soon to theaters near you)
  10. You're correct, the F-22 is perfectly within the rules.
  11. Glad to see interest growing. 10 supporters in 4 days = should have enough in the next week and a half...hopefully...
  12. I can already see this will be beautiful when finished. Great job!
  13. Another 737! Great! Now its time for me to sit back and cry over my EE kit, while observing (what will be) your vastly superior build...
  14. Well the Authentic Airliners kits are advertised as being properly balanced and 'no noseweight required', as the fuselages are solid one-piece resin, however I'm not sure how Ian cutting out a chunk of the nose affects the balance of it...
  15. Two reasons: 1) I've already entered with a 737, and if I start another one I won't finish either in time, and 2) I don't currently have a DC-8 kit ready to go...
  16. You got me there! Some EE kits are...let's say...scientifically proven to aggravate suicidal tendencies, however there are also good ones, so yes, that counts too.
  17. Well you can be certain I will be buying this kit the moment it becomes available in Russia! (One of the many drawbacks of living there is the lack of easily accessible good kits, decals, and aftermarket accessories which aren't made by Zvezda)
  18. Just noticed what reg you've put on this, Bob - I flew on ADJT from Munich to Bari (and the return trip) back in 2013!
  19. Alright, that's eight (or 794, depending on how you look at it!)
  20. There are an interesting few paragraphs about Concordski in Joe Sutter's autobiography - he got to fly in it at that fateful Paris airshow, and it seems the great man was very touched personally by the death of the crew...he writes in the aforementioned autobiography extremely fondly about meeting them...
  21. Great to see this much interest! As I said I've never suggested a GB before, so could someone please enlighten me - is it 25 or 30 people needed, and would (with enough support) this be included in voting for 2017 or would it have to wait for 2018? British manufacturers would also be a must. And perhaps an Airbus silver anniversary GB in four years time?
  22. The Premise: So here's the idea. Boeing turns 100 this year, and is, depending on who you ask (silly Airbus fans) one of the best aircraft manufacturers in the world. Over the last 100 years, they have built thousands of planes, and designed countless different military and civilian models. So why not take the Boeing Centennial as an opportunity to celebrate the beauty and power of their aeronautical creations? The Rules: All GB entries must be aircraft, and must have been designed by Boeing. Aircraft may be airliners, fighters, bombers, anything you wish. Even spaceships, such as the CST-100, are allowed. Collaborations, such as the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey, are also allowed. Larger projects which somehow included Boeing are also allowed. Designs Boeing inherited from other manufacturers, such as the Boeing 717, are allowed. This does not work backwards - eg. a DC-8 will not be allowed, as it was built long before Douglas became part of the Boeing Company. If unsure about something, consult GB hosts for guidance. Aircraft made under license by other manufacturers, as well as stolen/reverse-engineered designs are allowed. Spacecraft, such as the CST-100 Starliner, are allowed. Designs which where never built are allowed (mostly because I really want to build a B2707) Aircraft which have not yet been built/flown, such as the 777X or the 787-10, are allowed. All GB members must have tons of fun while building their models! Right? Right? Disclaimer: This is my first time ever (yay!) suggesting a GB, so if I'm doing something wrong (boo!) feel free to shout at me. Constructively.
