  1. “Hello,Alan” - Your excellent photos speak a thousand words. An absolutely beautifully built and finished model right down to the last detail. This is a magnificent tribute to the ‘F-35’ and pilot. My Best Regards, Paul.😉👍

  3. Hello ‘corsaircorp’ and ‘woody37’ - Thank you both for your very kind replies. They’re much appreciated. Just occasionally this kit will crop up somewhere.I bought mine secondhand at Huddersfield Model Show. Yes indeed,Cheshire and Lancashire were home to some wonderful aircraft and world-beaters. One of many great aspects of our wonderful hobby is that it keeps their memory alive. All The Best, Paul.😉👍

  7. Hello and thank you,Tom.That’s much appreciated. I only used Tamiya Weathering Sets and a lead pencil to highlight the recessed panel lines.Restrained was the key word as you rightly say.😉👍
  8. Hello and thank you all for your kind replies and feedback. They’re much appreciated.😉👍
  9. Hello,Tomcat101 - Thank you so much. That was certainly a special experience for you and I’m pleased that seeing this build brought back that memorable event for you.😉👍
  10. “Hello,Friends” - Here’s the classic Airfix kit which I bought secondhand many moons ago. She’s finished in ‘Mr.Hobby’ Aqueous Colours and ‘AKXtreme’ Metal Enamels and ‘Tamiya’ Weathering Sets for the NMF. I made a simple ‘hinge-arrangement’ from wire staples to pose the flaps in a lowered position. Apart from the aftermarket covers this is an ‘OOB’ build with only the kit’s plastic pitot being replaced with a length of nickel/silver wire. The very old kit decals performed without issue and responded perfectly with Microsol. I hope you enjoy viewing and thank you for doing so. Best Regards.😉👍
  11. Hello,Pete - A brilliant job with this pleasingly different subject.👏😉👍
  12. Hello,Andy - A beautiful ‘Tiger’ Hawk. I love the quality and level of the detailing and finishing work. A superb build.👏😉👍

  15. Hello and thank you Fred piket. That’s much appreciated. I mainly used Tamiya Weathering Sets over AKXtreme Metal Enamels for the NMF tonal variations. They’re very versatile products and easy to use.😉👍
  16. Hello,Josh G - Thank you so much.Until I researched the scheme option I had no idea myself or for how long.It just makes a change from the usual Soviet markings.😉👍
  17. Hello and thank you,Mike. That’s much appreciated. Yes,it’s certainly a change from my usual scheme choices. The kit had two Soviet decal options but I reached the finishing stages with this build just after the Russia/Ukraine conflict had reared its head so as a show of ‘modeller’s solidarity’ I decided to choose this aftermarket scheme.😉👍
  18. “Hello,Friends” - An internet error on my part for some reason excluded the intended introduction to this build for which I apologise. The ‘Foxbat’ is one of those types that’s always held a fascination and I enjoyed this build very much. This model was also my first ‘serious’ attempt at the noble art of ‘weathering’ which is now an aspect I really love and enjoy. She’s finished in ‘Mr.Hobby’ Aqueous Acrylics and the Natural Metal Areas in ‘AKXtreme’ Metal Enamels. The tonal variations were done with Tamiya Weathering Sets. I hope you enjoy viewing and thank you for doing so.My Regards.😉👍
  19. Hello,Lord Riot - A magnificent build of the Airfix Buccaneer. The finishing work looks superb and how well she looks next to the Sea Vixen.I love them both.Well done indeed.🏆👏😉👍
  20. Hello,Corsairfoxfouruncle - Thank you so much. I hope you’re successful in finding this kit.You may strike lucky on a trader’s stand at a Model Show. It’s surprising what can sometimes be spotted among a mass of kit boxes.Good hunting.😉👍
