  1. Thanks for that Dan, Mike.......wow you are right that is one talented modeller......
  2. Well its here, it's stunning. May have to move on my old tamiya kits at scale model world. So I know there have been a few builds on here, does anyone have any tips on this one? Without sounding like a rivet counter I spy a lack of anti-slip.... any ex tankers out there able to tell me if mk.11's were covered in it, and if so where was it applied? Rich
  3. Fantastic work so far, look forward to seeing it at SMW 2015. I think the Hunter is one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built. My uncle, sadly long dead was responsible for sorting out the casting techniques for the gun tubes....apparently there was an issue with them shattering on early aircraft, it was down to the metal cooling too quickly so I'm told.
  4. Oh man I gotta get me one of those, I remember the RAF scrapping a couple of them at Cosford back in 1989. I was lucky enough to ger a control yoke and radar set out of one, donated the radar to a local museum still got the yoke.
  5. Congratulations on the new addition, having seen some of your previous stunning (and ridiculously huge) builds. I have to ask....where the heck do you keep them? Do you live in an aircraft hanger? Cant wait to see it finished... Rich
  6. Supurb build....still waiting for mine to arrive.
  7. No problems......when I can work out how to post pictures!!!
  8. Just gotta share this, I have just brought some of these true earth washes from Italy. Used them today on a Tamiya MK V male that is on the work bench. They are fantastic, I highly recommend using them on armour. The fading I have achieved is amazing..... sorry if I'm not supposed to plug products on here!!! Rich
  9. Its only a matter of time I'm told. I go up to Baginton quite often to see her run up. They are a good crew up there.....plus they support our wings and wheels event at Halfpenny Green every year.
  10. I think the problem with uniforms is due to numerous manfacturing no two batches are the same colour. Same as the old arguments with US ww2 uniforms! Great build though looks fantastic.
  11. Absolute poetry in motion, she's a gorgeous old girl. It really does break my heart that is over tomorrow, nothing worse than seeing a dead aircraft. At least they are keeping systems live when she is retired. Lets hope the other big Avro at Baginton is up and flying soon........
  12. You probably got a better view of the Vulcan than those at Cosford.....feeling a little miffed!!
  13. I think it would have been better stood by the grass hangers at Albrighton......
  14. Just got back from Cosford, disappointed.....whoosh she was gone, blink and you missed her. Oh well will hit Wellesbourne tomorrow, hopefully that will be better.
