Could be wrong due my reality shifts and the fact I barely double check my reference as I'm too lazy to even turn on my external drive with it: Japan received around 26 or 52? F-4E USAF machines, they never returned them back as they were used to training and whatever are the things military do when you receive a new machine Said F-4E were called F-4EJ and never received Kai upgrades even if many pictures show you otherwise Said F-4EJ were used to (R)F-4EJ trials with all the recce pod they went through the years, some also were maybe painted with aggressor markings, then used as (R)F-4EJ duty. Fine Molds contains new parts that will let you build a proper (R)F-4EJ, if the box contains both Kai and E parts then you just have to ignore (R)F-4EJ parts which should be all around the nose and gun area and build a common F-4E, but if the F-4EJ box only contains JSDAF missile rails then you need USAF launchers but keep in mind that those launchers are time(?) or era and operator specific things Somebody on an Hi-Decal thread or maybe was or the Iran thread or the now deceased Military Photos forum...said When the US was still welcome in Iran people spotted RF-4Cs and maybe even an RF-4B flying white tails with IIAF markings on them, reason was that both C and B were wired for nukes so if S would HTF, US forces could nuke USSR using Iran as proxy. How true it is I don't know, but I do remember a B&W picture showing an RF-4C (due short exhaust) with IIAF camouflage, black bottom and no ID markings on tail, other picture was a pack of RF-4s with something that looked like a B due maybe the ECM mounted shoulders on the intakes but I no longer have anything, ACIG dot org probably had the RF-4C picture linked in the comment section of their dedicated IIAF page but since most stuff was either linked Imageshack and other means I doubt someone will ever find something Luigi

Any planned new F-16A model in 1/72nd scale?
Silverkite replied to Fernando's topic in The Rumourmonger
as long Tamiya goes bait and switch I think nope. Luigi -
I would buy one just if by mistake they added the underwing pylon used for AA missiles and for the drop tanks, outside that I would stick with Italeri and place cloned DM parts on it. Otherwise I'll just wait for Wolfpack and hope someone will do something for THAT pylon Luigi

Was the wheel well "question" resolved on past discussions? It was said that early A models had them painted in anti-corrosive paint instead of white but I lost track of said discussion (it was once again on ArcForums) Luigi

found the discussion about sabre not saber drains http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/295433-early-f-15a-from-the-gwh-f-15c/ Luigi

I posted some stuff here and there through the forums, my suggestion is to waste some time on Wikimedia by searching F-15A with a year that doesn't go past 1979/80. Outside that is to search on Flickr and other websites as I don't know if someone has a back-up of what was posted on sukhoi.nl. As people on HS forums stated you have to check out the differences: NLG up to JFS exhaust then saber drains (search on arcforums saber drains cause there it was a discussion about them) I'm not sure if the tailhook housing was different Antennas should be either 2 rectangular shaped and 1 or 2 more that look like nipples Fuselage sides, I never took a deep look Airbrake the stiffeners are shaped differently but I don't know if late or upgraded ones received C reinforcements On HS thread you can see that certain Luke Eagles had a fence cutting in the middle of the airbrake, that was not so common yet it was used Airbrake well be wary of it especially if you are using GWH kit there it was another discussion on Arcforums, I think it was on an F-15E Q&A and someone warned about F-15Ds kit dressing up as E variants as E and possibly late? C variants do have a different well. TF15s had short/stubby airbrake Cockipt and the hell hole on the back of pilot's seat Can't provide link on Arcforums discussions cause I have those bookmarks on another drive Luigi

No, Hasegawa F-16 bottom fuselage is shorter, if you take Revell and Tamiya MLG doors have pretty much the same length, but if you take Hasegawa doors and compare them with Revell & Tamiya they are indeed shorter Luigi

At car shop of a friend of mine, random french car, torx screws, Bon Jovi Always, yes way Jose! Inside their hangars, french airplane, standard screws? On what kind of twisted world I'm living? Counter clockwise? Luigi

this one should be an A this one too as saber drains are present and there are only two antennas up front this is a C also notice wing plating Another A I think Luigi

Differences for USN and Air Force Phantoms are the IFR probe and a panel that stays nearby the radome slightly above the small intakes, there is also this https://phantomphacts.blogspot.com/2019/02/the-evolution-of-door-19-on-f-4.html and there it was something related to some panels, rivets and dielectric stuff on tail which seems to be gone from their blog but some images can be found here https://phantomphacts.blogspot.com/p/sanders-analq-51-51a-100.html https://phantomphacts.blogspot.com/p/usn-ew-equipment.html https://phantomphacts.blogspot.com/p/anale-29.html Check rivets on the upper area, also there it was a rectangle panel and the bottom that doesn't appear and I'm wondering if it was explained on tailhook blog or on some pdf I found around the net Luigi

Don't forget this In their 1/72 catalogue they have/had: F-16A F-16B F-16C F-16C Block 50/52 F-16D F-16I F-16N YF-16CCV Excluding the F-16I with the very ad nausem set of decals which can be found everywhere, all kits never received other decal options, all F-16ADF are limited edition variants, ditto for everything they did with AM/BM/E/F variants, it's the same for their F-15J with MSIP parts, USAF specific MSIP parts can be found only on Ace Combat reboxes and F-15E. When Hasegawa upgraded the F-15E they first released a bunch of F-15E reboxes luring people into thinking that they had the upgraded parts, for example they released three different F-15E The Idolm@ster boxes, last one basically a month(?) before releasing the upgrade F-15E on their catalogue yet it did not contain upgraded parts, IDF F-15 same thing, basic kit with extra sprue parts taken from old tooling and resin parts for everything else, then another rebox that finally contains a new set of nozzles, two IDF specific pylons, the rest it's from the upgraded package, now I know that Bethesda loves to re-re-re-release Skyrim multiple times on Steam, but it's a crappy game good only for sexy mod and I do understand why people buys it, but I don't understand why Hasegawa forced people to double-dip this much for their Eagles. They are doing this since ages, a certain F-16A box has extra Wolfpack markings that didn't make the cut on the D or series boxes, said markings were never to be seen again on any kind of rebox that Hasegawa did, luckily Superscale covered them or at least they tried. Do you want to build a specific MV-22 Osprey variant? Though luck! Some parts are only contained on limited edition boxes, what about some Night Fighter variant of the FW-190A which escape Eduard's attention? I don't even remember when I last saw an announcement of a yet another FW190A with extra parts for sale. It's a long stream of wrongdoings dating back in mid 80's all the way up to modern days, I wasn't ever aware they did anything other than FW-190 A9/F9 variant with white metal parts till I saw 4 different boxing of that version for sale in Japan Luigi

Italian Tornadoes with Rafael SPICE GBUs
Silverkite replied to Anatol Pigwa's topic in Aircraft Modern
we have spotters at Decimomannu airfield and I may take a look on the FB page hoping someone captured a glimpse of it, I don't know if they tested them during last year or they are testing it now, I'm sure a couple of years ago they had something bulky (no tanks) under their wings, but I was alone in the middle of a mountain, with no camera, just a binocular and couldn't take any kind of pictures Luigi -
It all depends on what squadron you are going after, Wolfpack? The Gunfighters? EF-4Cs? Fox One decals and Twobobs had a dedicated sheet for them, I don't know if there is someone still doing stuff on 72th but for the wrong scale of things you can find this chart Also remember that if you put Aim-9s on USAF F-4 you can't place bombs on the TER station under the missile Luigi

Hasegawa 01962 doesn't come with reinforcement stripes which are present on the other four boxes 01913 - 01980 - 01997 - 02172. As for Italeri as Giorgio said box 1271 comes with ADF parts so does box 1337, also some later 188 reboxes do come with ADF parts so sometime does the Tamiya rebox, it's a big if. Fujimi had at least two F-16 ADF boxes but they are also more hard to find than Hasegawa ones About later F-16ADF used by italian air force, possibly Portugal samples too they all have F-16C style gun vents and other gigs that were not present on USAF machines Luigi

* No Navy antenna bumps on underside of wings and intakes (easy to make): if you are talking about them https://phantomphacts.blogspot.com/p/sanders-analq-51-51a-100.html you should be aware that very few variants and a bunch of airframes kept them F-4B/N had them F-4J some single airframes on reserve/training units F-4S same as above RF-4B you are in the dire need to find a picture of your selected machine and be sure of it RF-4C found nothing but I don't have pictures of RF-4C flying during the Vietnam conflict, instead I have lots of pictures of Spanish and Korean RF-4C and they don't have a single bump RF-4E so far nothing, at least nothing from Greek and German units, 'spose is the same for Japanese versions F-4E one US sample from Wikimedia, zero from F-4F and F-4EJs and Greek units, I'm ignoring the rest as they do not interest me F-4G I suppose nothing but I don't have a collection of F-4G pictures F-4 UK variants zero, maybe some early FG had them? I don't have B&W pictures Turkish variants had a single or maybe dual strike/release camera installed in place of intake antenna bumps Luigi

If they ship your items with Air Parcel or Air Mail, it takes around 20 days to reach your workbench, DHL is also faster but pricey, despite stupid restrictions I usually get all the stuff I order from Japanese stores to Italy in 15 days, the only times it takes a bit longer is because sunglasses and vanity items are more prone to be stopped for customs check Luigi -

For outer pylons I think there are three types of them; Navy style present on Fujimi kits USAF style that require some scratch building by using Fujimi pylons Exclusive to drop tanks, not sure if early drop tanks had a different pylon, not sure if there it was a fixed type and a detachable type for later drop tanks Now Hasegawa and their once again Limited Edition kit does come with a single outboard pylon to attach the dust collector pod, I'm not sure if it's correct for USAF specimens or not but there is just one, for centerline pylons I think Hasegawa (R)F-4EJ has the one needed for pods and Fujimi the one needed for MER rails, the third type should be for drop tanks and not sure if there it was fourth type for the not so comfy Recce and Pave Tack pods Luigi -
