    Fact is that Tamiya completely skipped the early beaver tail Tomcats,ditto for Fine Molds but they still have to release a B. I don't trust Academy for their Tomcats being new since they did the same for the F-8 Crusader with the new tooling thing that just contained a different set of decals.GWH inspires me, but I've hoarded 7 Fine Molds F-14D and I'll be ordering at least 6 F-14A in a near future so I would like them to focus on more needed things such a freaking F-15 S/MTD, a Silent Eagle, the newer Spamraam Eagle and the SG in both right (1/72) and in the wrong scale (everything else) plus scaling-down their C and J so I'll be going to use a couple of Hasegawa boxes to scratch the Ace Combat 2 F-15S conversion and sell the rest.     I can hope for maybe Modelsvit to fill whatever is still lacking on the Mig-21 prototype/demonstrator types, fixing the windscreen doesn't seem to be that difficult, but reshaping the fuselage sides for the flare dispensers IS cause I can't find clear fuselage pics showing the contours of it, also the bubble canopy will be a problem Thanks Fin, I bought RV Lancer twice, first time from a well know "that bay" seller, asked him if both Mig-21R and Lancer C had all parts since in the last order he shipped me an RV Mig-23 MLD without the stencils and as soon he told me "yep" the order was in. Turns out that all Lancer bits were missing, waited for a month as he said he was getting some newer ones with spare parts but I failed to receive anything, had to sell it back and then a month ago I bought a newer one from a different seller,all bits are luckily where there so it's on the wait station, I will also wait for Icaerodesign and their conversion as I'm still waiting for an F-15 S/MTD conversion even tough I probably have anything needed to start one minus clear pics of those aerodynamic plugs placed above engine's nacelle Luigi

    So which MF boxing I'm gonna need for the RF and the Lancer C because I'm not too fond of the basic MF version? And since Bison/Mig-21-93 are out of the equation,someone will ever make a conversion or I will be eternally stuck with Eastern Express/Condor 21-93? Luigi

    I just received Hasegawa Greg's A-10 from Area88, all of their newer tooled A-10 are going to be C models, molds are showing their age as there is lot of flash all around. In the past I tried to build two Hasegawa A-10s which were from late 90's but one had a serious problems around the nose gear area and the other one had jumpy wings, so nothing that some evergreen and putty could fix,sadly I never finished them as they got damage during house moving Italeri A-10 had a good fit and once again putty was needed here and there,can't say anything about Academy as I had them as reserve and then I sold them.     I don't get their choices for Area88 aircrafts: Because Van Com on the Ova flew using a black tiger striped F-105 which was pure awesomeness yet they chose the boring version from the manga with some tiger stripes here and there Greg A-10 is inspired more from the one in Ace Combat Infinity than the one from the manga then his Skyhawk seems pure fantasy (well it is) as in the 2004 anime he flew with a plain and grey A-4 and I can't find any camouflaged Skyhawk inside the manga Shin F-20, X-29 and Draken are somehow ok even though the F-20 is more inspired from the Ace Combat Infinity version and I think the upcoming Crusader will only have his flashy scheme instead of the one used in the 2004 anime Micky Tomcat is once again inspired from Ace Combat Infinity, the best one was in the original UN Squadron game with yellow/black stripes painted on both wings and horizontal stabs ala Matchbox VF-142 F-14 Tomcat decal option Saki Kfir is ok as I don't like it at all I wonder if they are also planning to do something for Kitori and Kim and also if they are planning to release the remaining Ace Squadrons kits from Ace Combat Zero,oh well if anything I do have enough Area88 decals to avoid buying those repacks but none is printing anything for Ace Combat aircrafts :-\ Luigi (when that guy goes too far)

    Ditto,started to take leftover pieces of it when I was still working as carpenter on naval yards,too bad they switched to quantity above quality and collapsed,those places were gold to build yourself house furniture using overpriced spare material that nobody wanted to recycle ^^ Luigi

    Thanks,I think in the past I did notice their intake trunk problems and also their price so I was not so interested on them but I was after their BM conversion and hide the intake "cave" with scratched FOD intake covers Luigi

    I think Bruno is going to build 92-8068 http://www.f-15j.com/arc/vehicle_info.cgi?backurl=./vehicle_lst.cgi&radio_call=068 I think on ARC someone asked some detail regarding reinforcement ribs around both rudders that from time to time were visible in earlier or late photos,so also has to check that,sadly F-15J dotto com doesn't come with clear airbrake pictures for it so it's a guess work Luigi

    Thanks Dave,I was thinking about picking Airfix pieces as MLG well,wheels and very few other parts and put them into the Esci one, then use Xtrakit fuselage part to make the plug as I can't find FA2 conversion for Esci Italeri kit nor the complete Heritage model. Also what about FA2/FRS.1 wing differences can't locate key differences :-\ Luigi

    Is the Xtrakit/Special Hobby a good base for the FA2?Any good bits to take from the Airfix kit and place them together with an Esci/Italeri one plus ofc random stuff from the Xtrakit? Luigi

    Taking some bits from various ARC threads regarding F-15D camouflaged as F-15E aircrafts,probably comes with errors as I'm not an expert nor I'm using any kind of book reference Main landing gear doors,possibly nose door too,legs and wheels are different C/D airbrake was different from E due the absence of fuselage recess but later C/D airframes were also assembled without it Some panel lines are different due Fast Packs being in the way,so to ease maintenance some of them were changed Non MSIP I/II upgraded J and DJ retained engine saber drains and also the two small antennas under intake trunks Heck of a built here which explains whatever I'm missing in terms of details https://www.scalespot.com/onthebench/f15dj/build.htm Different fuselage pieces DJ I and I presume it's the same on E Built J fuselage Real DJ Luigi

    Thanks Gabor,I did notice the differences after posting my question in this thread. I was sure that Mikoyan didn't create a small hell for the F version since most sources reported only the changes regarding K13 missile compatibility,some fin mods but not so deep and the remove of one of the two cannons,at this point is more easy to differentiate BF-109 and FW-190 variants than the scorching hell of Mig-21 and Su-17 ones Luigi

    gonna pick it up soon.Also since I asked on their FB page regarding the presence of drop tanks and they answer with a nope,are the Mirage IV drop tanks the same ones used on the Mirage 4000 because by eyeballing them while leaving drop tank details apart they do look the same Luigi
