  1. Since in the past I failed to upload pics of both Bilek and RV Mig-21UM can you please point me out the problems related to both canopy and spines? Luigi
  2. how far the F-15 family went in their 1/48 rendition? J MSIP is there with both fairings or not? A and earlier TF variants? SG and the upcoming Spameagle is done/announced? Silent Eagle? What about the S/MTD? Also what about ALSO making full intake trunking for the 1/72 variants? Luigi
  3. Does the Mirage IIIE serves as base for the Swiss Mirage IIIS? Cause I have a couple of PJ/HPM conversions but only one old tool PJ Mirage IIIE and I was planning to fetch a couple of upgraded toolings but this will maybe do the trick, hoping that someone will also unleash a freaking Mirage III NG conversion someday Luigi
  4. gonna wait nore-releasesevergawa to rebox their GR1 with GR4 decals or just fetch a GR4 conversion from Freightdog and give up on those Brimstone rail adapters Luigi
  5. Spent some days just searching info of the Penguin missile, it appears that Hasegawa Penguins are MAYBE ok just by cutting down the length excess and fixing the wings, in doubt since I had an Hobbyboss Seahawk I compared both missiles and dimensions are very similar maybe the errors too but I forgot to check them against Fujimi ones so if you don't have that kit https://imgur.com/a/h7ljqAu also the launcher comes with Hasegawa X 72-9 weapon set, problem is trusting Fujimi accuracy cause the only good things contained in their F-16 boxes are the F-16 shaped object and the decals Luigi
  6. Gunpod is called HMP 400 but Revell placed 1/48 guns and rocket pods in place of 1/72 ones Luigi
  7. you can fit them straight behind the cockpit, not forward, on the Hasegawa kit I just placed a rusty 19mm nut on it and there it was still room for more Luigi
  8. I shall excuse myself for the rant <WHEN IT INCLUDES THINLY VEILED PROFANITY, WE WON'T EXCUSE YOU FOR THE RANT. ANY PROFANITY, WHETHER OBFUSCATED OR OTHERWISE IS NOT WANTED NOR NEEDED ON THIS FORUM> Luigi
  9. Heller Rafale is the A prototype which was bigger than later prototypes and production machines, I'm on the lazy side on taking HB Rafale, I've seen pictures of it lying next to a Italeri kit and is indeed smaller, which one got it right I don't know...if only Revell was smart enough to bring their Rafale in the correct scale I would stop to care about both Luigi
  10. First Italeri edition drop tanks contained in boxes #026 #036 and #092 were pretty much copies of Heller Mirage 2000 drop tanks, the so called upgraded rebox released on 2012 has different drop tanks and it was also reboxed by Revell If Hobbyboss kit is really underscale I doubt the drop tanks will look right on Italeri/Revell model Luigi
  11. It's a pylon plus some kind of rack adapter plus Aim-9 rails http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK-Navy/British-Aerospace-Sea-Harrier-FRS1/1182584/L Freightdog also made those rails in his Limited Edition kit in 1/72, I just hope he will also made an FA2 conversion with those dang Aim-120 rails as I can't find that many useful stuff for them, well at least something can be found and they are not as rare as those F-104J Aim-9 rail adapters mounted on wing pylons Also forgot that I can finally upload stuff on the net as they changed the rotting 50 years phone cable line outside home, those are the 1/72 Freightdog launchers contained inside the box (uncleaned cause I'm lazy) https://imgur.com/a/x5BtEsL Luigi
  12. I think that boxes above the 08xxx range probably all have the upgraded heat exchangers while everything else below comes with earlier one Luigi
  13. Sorry and at the same time thanks, but it's just a word I use to differentiate soviet and czech and license built aircraft Eduard a year ago? asked people to spot differences between the 6 or so pictures they posted at their Facebook page, I think that my answers with images are still on their page and I've probably nailed them all but god no candy whatsoever. Differences were In canopy area -> mirror fairing Below the right corner on canopy's left side -> something was moved and I think a light or some sort of connector was added Wing area -> extra riveting and oval shaped strip Engine area -> exhaust shroud dent was different Vertical stabilizer area -> left or right panel had a different size and position Midst-upper left fuselage area -> another panel used for machine gun had a different shape MLG area -> fuselage fairing had different shape Left-lower mid fuselage area -> another panel was different Luigi
  14. Taking pics is not a problem, problem is uploading them, because since may road's cable got a nasty s/c, our telephone line is dead only ADSL1 works and I have the downstream of a pumped up ISDN line and the upstream of a drunk pigeon It's not, it has typical RV detail and the differences between two seems to be located on the dorsal hump as Bilek got it a tad lower, it's more like an HD Bilek Mig-21UM and other parts dimensions are very similar (eyeball Mk.22) it just lacks the stencils data as per Bilek so at least one a/m decal set is needed Luigi
  15. Is current's Eduard Mig-21 a Gorky built aircraft or Czech one? Luigi
  16. My quick 2 cents THis morning I've received the newer Mig-21UM from RV, comparing it against Bilek it seems that forward and rear fuselage diameter are nearly the same so is the length but one comes with the AAA shrapnel treatment while other doesn't, the newer sprue finally comes with a couple of rails for the two AA-2, a single drop tank is also included, then the standard PE insert and a basic set of decals with lots and lots of stencils inhabiting it complete the package. Luigi
  17. You bees saying that Modelsvit Mirage 4000, Fitters and upcoming Mirage III are and will be a work of fiction? Luigi
  18. if only they would stop with that Macross crap and start to waste some resources with Ace Combat super planes instead
  19. F-16I specific sprues contained inside E-34 boxing Q and V parts respectively intake cheeks fairings and dorsal spine vents F-16F specific sprues contained inside 01930 boxing M and W parts respectively Sniper pod and dorsal spine vents plus a couple of fairings I know that in real life both are very different, but for Hasegawa the only difference contained in those two boxes are them as you can either build a P&W or GE F-16 as long you don't venture into Polish or Greek? territory as you need the longer tail ECM/chute fairing Luigi
  20. Whelp the differences between Hasegawa catalogue boxing label E-34 F-16I and limited edition boxing label 01930 F-16F are just two panels with some gibberish vents scribed on it to be glued in the dorsal spine. If you want to see panel layout I do have both and will happily upload a picture Also remember that you need both pylons and fuel tanks from Hasegawa F-2 cause some nations are using both standard and 600 gal drop tanks Fact is that Hasegawa is as per usual selling their standard F-16A/B masked as an upgraded aircraft and Revell is kinda doing the same as the panel lines are for an A, if only Tamiya was so smart to make an A, a generic 30/40 with P&W engines and a freaking two-seater the after-market companies will probably have a field day and fill all the missing holes left by Revell and Hasegawa Luigi
  21. For what I've seen in some recent auctions and pictures they are still offering the basic ECS in the single seater and the later one in the Growler boxing, don't know about the normal two seater, also inside the instruction they have completely omitted the panel line changes warning which is always found in their limited edition boxes. Luigi
  22. It all depends on the needs of the little hoarder inside of us Luigi
