  1. Hi everyone here is an update for you all.... Decals 32D018 and 32D019 in the post to me....see pics Photo etch 32PE009 completed and off to printers having received my kits and amended measurements from up-scaled 1/48 Roden bracing wires design 32P018 Gloster Gladiator engine/cowl - working on 3D masters now that I have the kit Pat Pattle figure being sculpted by Elan 13 in January (not listed in Hannants Future products as not given a Cat No. yet just in case it all goes wrong haha Upper Aileron correction - in the works (ICM have given upper ailerons same design as lower aileron - upper aileron centre hinge is small like inner hinge - not large like lower centre hinge - makes a massive difference as as things stand you are unable to locate in the correct position the aileron bracing wires just off-set from strut. PE landing flaps - in the works Thanks everyone and a very Happy Christmas to you all. (I am taking the Christmas family service again this year here in Hungary - my Hungarian can be rather comical so please pray people will understand me haha)
  2. Thanks and no - as I wrote at the top - 'just off to the printers'
  3. Hi Folks, finally got the courage to upscale my old 1/72 Felixstowe decals - so they are off just now to the printers, hope they come in useful for some people here, thanks for looking.... 32D020 - Felixstowe F.2A N4283 32D021 - Felixstowe F.2A N4512
  4. Hi everyone, Sopwith Camel bracing wires for Wingnut Wings kit off to the printers for test shot. Thanks for looking
  5. Hi folks, this might be in the wrong place as I could not see a vendors page, anyway in case you did not know from LSP or my FB page I have some 1/32 Gloster Gladiator decals being printed at the moment - here is the War time sheet, thanks for looking
  6. No my friend I did not see this one - was hoping for the checks but this is still great - thanks so very much indeed, John
  7. Hi everyone, does anyone have any photos of a 56 Sqn Gloster Gladiator they can share please? Thanks, John
  8. Yes the Mr Paint is great, goes on well and has no sparkle to it so looks like perfect scale silver paint. It is touch dry in an hour and requires no thinning
  9. Andy my company is AIMS - the bracing wires are one of my products - please look - http://www.aimsmodels.co.uk/Photo-Etch/1-48/1-48.html
  10. You are all very kind thank you! Wish I had more time to build but you cannot design and build very easily!
  11. All finished, thanks for looking. For those of you who are interested the following aftermarket products were used in this build of the Eduard/Roden kit. Eduard PE set (in addition to the Eduard PE in the kit) My AIMS bracing wires PE My AIMS hatches and latches PE (for missing gun pod plates) SBS engine/cowl Quickboost gun pods Quickboost red fuselage nav light (unable to use wing tip lights as way over-size - perhaps designed for Merit kit) Master Browning 303 barrels. Rob Taurus Vac form canopy Finished in Mr Paint Silver with Exhaust/collector ring in Alclad Jet exhaust followed by Pale Burnt Metal. Figure and dog from ICM. Thanks.
  12. Another stress moment over- Vac form canopy cut out and placed! Next - putting on the upper wing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!
  13. Decals On - that is one of the biggest stress moments over with - no mistakes or damage thank the Lord. Also go the base colours on a pilot figure from ICM and his dog. The ICM set is fantastic value for money with a great selection of poses and much more in the box than the cover indicates with a tool bench and gas canister trolley and much more - well worth it!. The Eduard decals went on very well and bedded down nicely with Gunze Sanjo Mr Mark Softener and setter.
  14. Hi Grey many thanks for your kindness and yes I completely agree - this kit is a labour of love and exhausting. I have never had so much tidying up to do on a modern- ish kit but I have benefited by having more after-market products available since your build - both from myself (AIMS) and SBS. I have the Merit kit also which is built more like a tank in comparison to this kit. but it has it's own problems also as do most kits. Mine has been on the go 1 year at least but that is mostly due to stopping to design products for it rather than wanting to walk away. Airfix Hawker sea Fury next - much easier!
  15. In case you ever wondered - the Eduard masks in the the Eduard/Roden Gloster Gladiator kit fit the Rob Taurus vac form canopies to perfection - a necessary purchase and fir when you look at the quality of the Roden clear part!
  16. Hi Selwyn, I am building a MK 1 RAF bird and was under the impression from the kit instructions that the instrument panel was correct for any Mk 1 without the filter underneath the engine. Is this not correct?
  17. Enjoyed using Mr Paint Silver as well as Alclad Jet exhaust followed by Pale burnt metal on the collector ring. A few washes really brings out the amazing detail on the SBS engine and cowl.
  18. Hi everyone been slowly getting on with a Roden/Eduard Gladiator. Would have been quicker if I did not keep stopping to design parts for it haha. Anyway hope you like progress so far. I have used the kits Eduard PE plus the Eduard stand-alone PE plus my AIMS PE bracing wire set and SBS engine.
