  1. Nice job- building this myself at the moment with the replacement resi-cast wheels. Keith
  2. Nice work- i remember buying this for 47p back in the 70's as a young boy with my pocket money! Like what you have done with the diorama base. Keith
  3. Ty all for the great comments. I have only really started to experiment with my armour after 30 odd years of modelling by weathering and upgrading etc- i blame all those magazine articles i have been reading - i must get back to my billing boats hms victory but keep getting distracted by german kitties- got two tiger 2s for xmas! Keith
  4. upgraded with fruilmodel tracks and metal barrell. My first attempt at german ambush camo. Keith
  5. Nice work- santa is bringing me a couple of tiger 2s for xmas and i cant decide whether to model with skirts or not.
  6. need to put my german kitties away and re-start my billings Victory!

  7. yey it worked- cheers again for that jack- owe you one
  8. Thanks Jack will try that on my next posting- on the other site i use you can just upload your pics direct. Keith
  9. Or is there somewhere on the site to store pics for using in posts?
  10. Ty for the comments jack- i tried posting pics from my camera on here like on other sites i am a member of and can't get it to work- am i missing a link for browsing for pics on your comp when posting? Keith
  11. Ty dubster was thinking a bit of chipping might be in order. The camera has actually brightened the colour a little- in reality it looks a darker shading than in the pics. Have only just started weathering my armour and this is attempt 2- keep the suggestions coming all comments appreciated. Keith
  12. Weathered using ak interactive dark earth with a little "railmatch" light rust and ak interactive wash for german yellow vehicles after which a light coating of medium grey was sprayed over in a fine mist from a rattle can. When you click on the pics they should open up bigger on use.com site- can someone let me know if this is working please- Cheers Keith
  13. You should be ok with the etch- it worried me too- maybe use a little milliput after applying the etch to the M.G.cover to hide the gaps. keith
  14. looking great- i have just finished my tammy tiger 2 with porsche turret and hopefully there is a 1/35 king tiger ardennes front in my xmas stocking! Am currently building their panther g late and painted it in ambush camo- may spray a light misting of ts3 dark yellow over the brush painted camo to tone it down a bit. Keith
  15. Looks good to me- i have just started weathering my AFV's too. When doing tracks i try to make where the wheels are in contact a bit shinier as these areas would be polished by wear. I am 3/4 way through building this kit myself and am liking some of the weathering ideas from your build. Keith
  16. Ty all for the comments, daldroflas the zimm was interesting to apply lets put it that way and easily "creased" The mg covering was a pain- i used an old ball out of a comp mouse but it still doesn't look right to me. The paint is humbrol 83 matt ochre for the overall yellow with humbrol 133 red brown for the camo- after applying i used ak interactive wash for yellow vehicles then gave it a light coating of tamiya ts3 dark yellow to act as a filter. The tracks were painted humbrol 53 gun metal then a wash was applied mixing khaki, dark earth and rust all humbrol. Keith
  17. Nice job- just started building the tamiya panther g late and will be painting that in ambush camo. Keith
  18. My first real attempt at weathering 1/35 armour. Also upgraded with Eduard zimm and grilles and Tamiya seperate track links. Hope you like my kitty!
