Hasegawa F-4N Phantom II VF-111 1/72
BerndM replied to BerndM's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Thank you very much, Stix, i am glad you like it. This kit landed for some time in my doom box, after all, the needed extra work for recovering and finishing was rewarded. Will join Achtung Panzer, being still unsure if i do the Sherman or the Famo, both in 1/72. Maybe both -

Thank you very much for this compliment -
Good work, this was not so easy but turned out great. Interesting that the star as a air recognition sits different, the one pronged side looks backwards, i noticed that in the instructions of my M4A1 as well

Hasegawa F-4N Phantom II VF-111 1/72
BerndM replied to BerndM's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Hi Mario, thank you very much, and good luck with your F-4 projects. My next B/N will be in the markings of VF-84 ( yes boring but striking) If you start your Hasegawa F-4 be care ful with the joint between the "main fuselage" and the "bow" ( its a navy bird ;-) ) And make sure to replace the pin to connect the elevators with a steel needle Have a nice evening too, Saturday its Spook time -

Hello, here is my F-4N Phantom from Hasegawa in 1/72 scale. It was build oob, only with new ejection seats from Aires. It was intended as a relative fast and relaxing build but run into fit problems and proplems caused by me. Had also some problems with the decals. The sundowner emblem on the nose gear door will be replaced when the second kit arrives....... Played a bit with some Photo Bucket options, the pix were taken last July and the effects of the bright sun were a bit reduced. The weapon load is still incomplete. Nothing fancy, i hope you like this one.

Italeri F-84 F Thunderstreak in 1/72
BerndM replied to Mario's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Cheers Mario, so we have a perfect example of natural weathering :-) It seems they changed their clearcoat, spraying this can cause "spider webs" maybe attractive for artists but bad on a former smooth surface -
A very nice Spitfire, and a very good brush job, i am always in awe of modellers get that right !

Hi Richard, can sleep with the inaccuracies on my RV Phantoms. The Hasegawas are not perfect too, beside that, the price for a Hasegawa F-4 in 1/72 is here in germany "impressive" mostly way above my budged. Academy will make further versions, i guess. Their kits are good sellers, got the B/N, its really nice whats in the box. Fujimi has a british Phantom out in 1/72, with markings for the RN squadron sometimes hard to get, even in Japan. As said i have started today my F-4EJ, was first intended to be a F-4F in the Norm 90 camo, the outer wings fit perfect the Hasegawa spook, i noticed that the wing chord is too small, so all the installed actuators had to be cut of and the holes had to be filled, anyway Will post pictures soon. After my first Hasegawa F-4. i will try to improve the fit a bit. A phabolous evening Bernd
