All but there... Sealing coat applied. Masking removed, doors removed and refitted in the open position. Undercarriage and wheels fitted. Completely forgotten about the prop decals, so they were fitted, sealed and fitted to the build. The base is a cup placemat with a printed concrete hardstanding applied, all it needs now to complete it is a figure that is being painted as we speak. So, I'm calling this done and when the figure is fitted, I'll post it in the gallery. Thanks for tagging along. Stuart

A very unusual and interesting craft. Stuart

And onwards... Decals are very nice and thin. Ready to come off the backing paper after 15 secs and moved around great. Having to be very careful with them going round the wheel 'boots' which I'm doing one at a time but they're still creasing, maybe Sol and time will even them out. Have had to do something different with the nose decals as they were never going to work in my book. Stuart

I've just noticed that you've fitted the undercarriage already. Isn't this a little risky, I've always talked myself out of this in fear of breaking them? Stuart

I have to echo what others have said, a fantastic job with this kit and you're not finished yet. Good work. Stuart

After watching this thread and its 'blue', I think I would paint my racing Hurricane (when I get it) in Humbrol 15. Stuart

The time has come... Decals on and they nicely done and handled well, now sitting with a little Sol. An error I found with the decal placement was the serial number on the tail. The instructions show you to put it on the trailing edge of the rudder but photos show it as the trailing edge of the tail before the rudder. After conferring with instructions, it looks like I've forgotten to paint the black walkways on the wings, I'll sort that after the decals have dried and sealed in with another gloss coat. Stuart

Thanks for popping by Mr P. I have never scratch built a plane before but it is something I'd like to try in the future. As for 'not being kitted before', I thought that Pro Resin produced one but I have never found one. Stuart

Thanks for the encouragement Greg, time will tell. Cheers Terry, as above, time will tell. Will continue the dirty work after I have the painting and decals done on the other GB builds. Stuart

Cheers Terry, no excuses when you're retired Terry As for adding a 'cobra' to your shopping list, why not. Worth getting the Humbrol option after trying others. Yes do, just remember that if you're doing the racer, not to fit the radio, seat armoured plate, fill mg ports, get rid of the cannon in spinner. Cheers Woody. Does look pretty slick but still don't like the idea of that 'donk' sitting in middle. Decals tomorrow hopefully Stuart
