  9. Hi Ray, I personally would go down the micro tubing route. Albion Alloys does slide fit (telescopic) tubing and their 0.2/0.4/0.6/0.8/1.0mm set would be useful for your 6" guns. If you haven't used their aluminium tubing, it is easily cut by using a sharp scalpel; apply slight pressure with blade while slowly rolling the tube. Careful you don't lose bits. All being well, you'll still have a bore for your 6" shell. Can't help with with arcs of fire. Stuart

  14. Very interesting stuff happening here Ray. To think that two kits are used to make 'the one', is a little disconcerting but you can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs. And when a kit doesn't exist, you don't have very many options. Carry on good man. Stuart

I wanted to do a different in-flight pose but wasn't sure about the undercarriage operation...asymmetric, glad I got that right. It was handy that I watched a recent 'Warplane Workshop' episode on TV and it featured the Mk. XIV Spit that confirmed the asymmetric operation. Stuart

  19. Is it done... Spinner painted with the suggested colour of H327 Red by Mr Hobby. Tried the red on white, grey and black primers, grey was the closest, so went with that. A satin coat was applied overall before de-masking the canopy, fitting the aerial, pitot, exhausts and finally the undercarriage. Mini magnets were used on 'stick' and in wheel well. Job done. Stuart
